Any ideas what happens now and how long it take to come through if they apply today ?

My dd did this in second year. It was absolutely fine. It cane through very quickly indeed, presumably because everyone else’s was done! It reminded me of the time one of my friends forgot to apply for a school place for her third child.

OK all sorted now uni said don't worry it happens often
Dc is enrolled
They can do an extension on tge tuition fees which apparently are due end of month
Ai seems to say it take take 4 weeks to sort can be faster if your claiming min
Uni seem to think the money will come through before the due date anyway and an extension won't actually be needed but it will be on record if it is needed

So seems like they said this is fairly common
DC
thought that due to re enrolling that it was automatic
So lesson hopefully learned plus has been working all summer

Much happier and smiling again

I work in HE and I’d suspect it’ll happen quite quickly. Has she applied now. So at clearing (A level results day) we get people ringing up and deciding to come . We get people even later then that who start with us a week or 2 later and have their SF in place. And that’s a year one application which surely must take longer to check than a year 2 renewal?

I work in HE and every year we get students blocked from enrolling due to debt from the year before-- only then do they realise they didn't apply. At that point the 9 months is over so they need to do an appeal.

My dc said the student finance people were really helpful and calming today and yes the application has been done now

Thanks for all the help and advice and for taking the time to advise

So when can it be sorted for next year..? As early as Feb? And adult dc is hoping to do a placement year if they can get one, so guess they don't know if they will be at uni or not

@PowerRangerGoGo - tell her to look out!
My Dc did a 'year in industry' , paid, so didn't need maintenance ££ but still needed to pay a reduced Uni fee for the year
