Well, it’s been a crazy few days.

Awake since 4.30. Petrified for ds. Good luck to all

honkytonkheroe · 13/08/2020 06:43

I'm also waiting for 8am! DD needs AAB but was predicted A*AA and so would probably be disappointed with any Bs. She has deferred so does have a year to put it right but it would be so much better if she didn't have to!

nofriendsatll · 13/08/2020 06:47

DS is actually awake so he must be more nervous than I thought, given that this is the first time he has seen 645 since before lockdown!

northender · 13/08/2020 06:48

Ds needs ABB for his firm offer. Predicted AAB. Unlikely to get it, very bright but 3 years of health problems, a newish diagnosis of ME & he was just getting used to using rest breaks, extra time etc, but prior assessment grades won't support higher grades even if the teachers have given them. Not sure whether college would be able to appeal, if needed, on medical grounds? I asked college in April, but they said not to worry. I am worried!!

Drumple · 13/08/2020 06:49

Yes I should have said. Good luck everyone.

KingscoteStaff · 13/08/2020 06:49

Good luck guys! Thanks for all your support on these threads over the last 4? 5? years!

I’ve just heard DS padding downstairs so am going to go and put the kettle on.

DuckyMcDuck · 13/08/2020 06:50

Morning all.
Blimey, my dreams last night, no wonder I didn't sleep well. I've also gone deaf in one ear!! What's all that about?

At least we'll know today - this seems such a long journey - thank you to my fellow passengers and best of luck to all our wonderful children. Flowers

CatelynStark · 13/08/2020 06:51

I have not slept at all and am now verging on hysterical. My youngest (of three) is up and putting her face on. She needs A*AA but her father died last year which obviously affected her attendance and she missed a lot of lessons. I have never known stress like this - I just want my baby to be happy (although she is a bad ass warrior grown woman!).

At this point, I’ll just be relieved if the dead aren’t walking the Earth by teatime.

KaptainKaveman · 13/08/2020 06:51

Morning all, can I join in please? dd is up and about (upstairs - haven't seen her yet). I too endured a terrible night of heat, nerves and bad dreams Sad. reading some of these linked articles is preparing us all for the worst isn;t it?

Drumple · 13/08/2020 06:55

And Northern Ireland 😊

spababe · 13/08/2020 06:57

Don't forget to check for emails from the Unis themselves as well as Track. Good Luck everyone Flowers

Divoc2020 · 13/08/2020 06:57

Sorry! 😩

Unescorted · 13/08/2020 06:58

I hear child movement.....

thesunwillout · 13/08/2020 06:59

Woke up about 3 times, strange dreams.
Now awake for the day and feel foggy and weird.

Got a longish drive leave at 8.15.

Good luck XXX

HesMyLobster · 13/08/2020 07:03

Very restless night here too.
I can't quite believe it's today. Feels so surreal.
No sign of anybody else yet. Kettle on! Grin

HesMyLobster · 13/08/2020 07:03

Good Luck everyone 🤞

Mintlegs · 13/08/2020 07:04

Very nervous! Been awake for hours! Have a sense of foreboding! (Silent hysterical panic)😅. Good luck everyone!

TheDrsDocMartens · 13/08/2020 07:05

ABB needed, school said AAA on a good day, BBB on a bad day (French was dependant on number of native speakers too).
No idea where this will go 😬

55 mins

ShaunaTheSheep · 13/08/2020 07:06

DS has changed his mind about taking the bus so i get to drive him. Yay, he’s still my PFB for an hour until his life changes forever Blush

JufusMum · 13/08/2020 07:06

DD sound asleep not moving I’m just waiting for her. School said results will be emailed “by 9am” so I’m thinking she will wake up around 8.55! Had a dream last night it was all D’s and E’s. DD “thinks” she got ABC on mocks but can’t remember. Maybe it’s because she’s got an unconditional but she’s way more chilled than me. Good luck to all DC especially those waiting on grades for unis of choice. I’m sort of glad DD firmed her unconditional four weeks before lockdown.

Florence50 · 13/08/2020 07:15

Whilst we're waiting for emails, does anyone have any insight into what Aston Business School is like?

Aragog · 13/08/2020 07:15

Not heard from Dd this morning. She got in from friends about midnight. I'm assuming she's been awake on and off.
Me and Dh have both been awake for hours!

Even with the unconditional as insurance I can't believe how nervous for her I feel. Keep thinking they'll take that away at the last minute too

Aragog · 13/08/2020 07:17

Emails from both ucas and school day 8am here.

Twofigures · 13/08/2020 07:18

DH is a teacher. Results confirm 40% of CAGs downgraded, some by 2 grades (they were lowest ranked in a grade). Terrified for my own DS who is expecting his own in 45 mins.
