Well, it’s been a crazy few days.

@Newgirls who do they ring? Clearing line, admissions or the department?

Waiting too feel really shaky.

DD needs ABB, would probably have got AAAA in the exams, course was on clearing with BBC last night so am hoping it should be ok.

She got good mocks so appeal is an option. Well a certainty to be honest, I doubt she'll get given the above.

I swear I've gone into some sort of stress delerium.

Name changed as outing. DS has been reasonably confident so I was surprised that he got up early without me having to wake him. He told me he had bad news. It was too early for results but after seeing the look of alarm on my face he quickly reassured me nothing to do with uni! His mate had scraped DH's car on the driveway last night and DS lad had been awake all night worrying about it!

I don't know if this gives any indication but I have checked UCAS and DS's course is not available in clearing. He got a low offer from them AAB (predicted 2A* 2As) but who knows what the outcome will be! Not long now...

We need 3A*s which she was predicted but there's no room for manoeuvre, so feeling pretty hopeless........Roll on 8am!

Daughter still in bed. She wants me to check Track then disappear without telling her what I've seen while she waits to check Uni portal then head to school.

Her mocks were disastrous although she was told not to give them another thought,. Predicted good grades and had excellent class/course/homework so no way of knowing what's going on.

She says she is not bothered as long as she can get into a university but was up late searching for her key card and stressing over that instead.

The moment is minutes away as DD has walked through the school gates

That is exactly same grades and predictions as my DS. Has firmed Durham and accepted an apprenticeship so at least has options.

DD has received her results. Her CAG and Movks were the same (3A) Her final results were downgraded in two subjects. (1A and 2As) she has enough for her course.
Obviously she’s very happy But all her friends are snap chatting disappointed with their results. Many downgraded, some by two grades.
The question for her is, can she just choose to have the mock results as her official results? Or is it only if needed for appeals/uni course etc. ?

Been told to go away by DD- she is going to check it rack in a minute before we go to pick up her results 'as she wants to cry here not in school'😥

I think Ofqual will announce the details of how to appeal grades next week. So who knows? I guess priority for those who missed uni place but maybe not?

Dd can't get into track, it's not loading arghhhhhh

Dd got A* A B. She needed AAB for a scholarship at Exeter. So all good here thankfully.
