That's all. After 5 years of trying she now has a fulltime course to go to in the autumn. For a disabled student with MH problems I think that's pretty good going. She now feels very glad she didn't get in as a 19yo as she knows she can get much more out of it now.

I won't be living through another drama school audition process ever!!! Grin

(yes, I know, then it'll be a life full of auditions but it's not the same, I won't be involved)

She still has another 5 or 6 auditions to go, but if she doesn't get them she is very happy with what she has got.

Life is stressful atm: work, Brexit, redundancies, ill health- but dd persevered against the odds for 5 years and dd has got into drama school!!! Every other thing that comes up- I can just think of that!!!

[where is the happy little dance emoticon???]

Thanks cory - and many congrats to your DD on her success (not to mention a medal for resilience!)

Flying - that's great news for your DS. DD1 looked at Chichester a couple of years ago, and was very impressed by how helpful the staff and students were there.

That's really lovely to hear, I think your dd is same age as my ds so remember her from the education boards.

yes, we were always meeting on those threads, bruffin

so many worries at the time, and strangely worrying less than ever now that dd has chosen one of the most competitive and least secure careers she could have found

I suppose because most of her problems come from within herself, her body, so anything that helps her to focus outside is good

she is now back on her foundation course, working on her showcase, though she can't walk straight and apparently has no peripheral vision

the school are being brilliant- supportive but absolutely adamant that she must not do too much

congrats on your ds' scholarship Flyingarcher; that is brilliant
