I think I am more nervous about DC's than I was with mine.
Oh well fingers crossed for all DCs doing this this year.

Mixed bag so far with DS - But , I mean how bad can it be ? The sky will not fall in .

DD1 is doing a creative type degree so doesn't have written finals but a final project and a degree show to showcase her skills to potential employers.

She always suffered terribly from exam related stress: IBS, panic attacks etc so we thought the non exam route would be easier for her. Unfortunately she has simply moved her stress focus to her degree show.

Cannot wait until it is all over.

Goodbye - yes DS was not looking forward to this morning. I am very happy to join in on vicarious nervousness. Ds then has one tomorrow ( Saturday morning) & then done - the die is cast. Also Little Dog is not quite so fat as he looks on that photograph , but he is a bit of a scavenger . DH has just phoned from US to appraise me of another puppy.

No idea when results out for DS. But @Gnome not sure getting results on the day is the best idea , although could make for dramatic effect. Grin

Thus far in the Basilisk household - more downside than upside . Hoping not a car crash so - a fairly decent result.

Good luck to all.

Oh and good luck boys3 to you and yours with all exams - I only have to worry about finals with DC and I know that many others have Dc's going through many more - so good luck and best wishes.

Basilisk so what will Little Dog be renamed when littler dog arrives?

Yes that was the precise wording DS used when he remembered me finally at the pub - today was not a car crash (after all) (he thinks).

Results are out in early July. They'll be told the day. Last year they didn't release them until early evening which caused nerves to jangle. I finally stopped dithering and took the dogs off for a walk and when I came back, around 7pm, they were in.

Tinkly good luck to your DD too. I'm not surprised stress is moved sideways - that's just how it is. And more luck to Basilisk DS for Saturday - nearly there!

Goodbye - I had thought 3 dogs was too many. Little Dog will still be little dog ( because he is small ) - am just thinking through actual names if we manage to get another puppy.

Yes my Ds is vey happy to say better than I feared , or actually that went OK - have not heard about this morning. - but car crash is the one he uses when things went dreadfully. ( & he had one of those in collections & he was right ! ) So one more for DS tomorrow morning & then no more can be done. Rather a relief. ( For me - after all he's just the one doing the exams [ smile] )

Early July ! Off to find more displacement activities. Big Dog and Little Dog may be getting bonus walks

Oh well - DS done and dusted now for better or for worse. I don't think he is particularly happy but off to have a game of squash to blow the cobwebs out and then a very large drink.

Best of luck to all DCs

I'm sorry to hear your DS isn't particularly happy Basilisk but a) I've yet to come across a DC who is particularly happy with their final exams and b) the lack of particular happiness always seems to be in inverse proportion to the general ability of the student. My own DS hasn't been in touch again since the brief pub e-mail but he knew I was driving hundreds of miles from A to B today and I got a strong sense that he was just delighted that they're over, with no real attention being paid to the likely outcome. Your DS has very high standards I think, which makes life tougher.

Absolutely correct goodbye History indeed. 1 down and 3 to go. DS1 has never been a great one for keeping in contact with the mother ship;, if his degree classification depended on that scraping a third would be optimistic. Hugely surprised therefore to receive a quite exuberant phone call on Friday just after his first exam had finished. Apparantly the ideal question was there. He was very pleased. i hope though that he answered it in the ideal way

Dog therapy helping me at this end too :)
