I mean if someone has deemed a child G+T (or is it G or T) why is it that they seem to be flamed when they post about any difficulties here?

If the label has come from outside the family and the family struggle why can't they post here saying "Help" without people leaping in to say "your child sounds normal to me"

For what it's worth I don't have a child labelled as G+T but am glad I don't given the response some posters get to this topic.

Surely it's okay for some children to be extra bright. Or is it that there is distrust of this label?

No not me, I bust my guts to treat my kids the same. If I was to label the kids, it would be the top 2% of cats 12 yr old girl, and the 27 week CP, bottom 2% of cats boy, but labels in my opinion are shit.
Life is about experiences and fun as well as school, seems to me that your ds2 is just an apendage to drag between ds1 cello practice, ds1 keyboard practice, ds1 violin practice and ds1 chess practice. BTW does your ds1 and ds2 ever just play in the garden with their mates.

I have posted on this thread that G&T is uncalled for in pre-schoolers, but Kerry has well-documented G&T issues with her boys, and to suggest that she doesn't care for ds2 in the same way as ds1 is to be wanky in the extreme.

She's a single parent, doing more than her best. Much more than I would be capable of doing.
