Bella dont be disheartened, i bet now that your AF is out of the way you will find it will drop off quite easy in the next week

bellavita · 06/02/2010 15:08

I hope so Vinny, I hope so. I have just had a fb conversation with someone I used to work with in my pre-kids days. We worked for a huge Life Assurance Company (we did used to have some fantastic nights out) and she has said that the Leeds branch has now closed and that there is a reunion on the 25th March in Leeds. She thought she had mailed me but I hadn't received it and seen as March is only next month, if I want to go I really need to lose these last few pounds.

I have the Aquaban at the ready for a week before the next AF arrives.

its feezing here too, and misreable and very foggy, i ventured out to the shops with beautiful slick hair and came home looking like jonh mcenroe (big frizz bomb)

Shiney i think you went to a particularly bad Morrisons, they are usually good, i like Sainbos too, or anything that is British born and bred and not been taking over by American fat cats really

MitsubishiWarrioress · 06/02/2010 16:09

Who's Bailey Bella....?

anyway you've got a man, if there's one spare me and vinny and dem can fight over him.

I went for a run.
It felt good.
I'd forgotten the feeling where you get back all high on adrenalin, jump in the shower and then feel like you could conquer the world.

I have been invited out with friends tonight...

YanknCock · 06/02/2010 17:01

Vinny, I think you're thinking of Asda, they are the ones taken over by American company WalMart. Tesco started in the UK, only got to the U.S. a few years ago.

YanknCock · 06/02/2010 17:11

Would the vegetarians on the thread please tell me what is in a nut roast? I just had one out of curiosity, and the inside was something like an onion bhajee. Only thing I could identify for sure was carrots.

I had some garlic mushrooms too, yummy, but probably very bad with the sauce. And we had pudding. Not going to have a big dinner tonight, if we have anything at all. Maybe just a few slices of toast or something.

Ok...enough messing around. Freecycle people finally turned up and took away some of my clutter, so going to start cleaning and get back into my FlyLady mode. It was so lovely here while I was doing it!

Lizzylou · 06/02/2010 17:18

OOH very productive, Mitts and Shiney

I got caught up at work, it was all exciting so couldn't get to the gym. Am going to spinning class on Monday so don't feel so bad as that is a killer.

Yep, Tescos is UK, just ventured over to US, Asda is Walmart, Yank is v correct (as usual).

Nut roast? Ummm nuts? Dunno what else, I like them tbh.

Trills, my hair does that too, not great when you live in one of the rainiest places in Britain. I permanently look like Kevin Keegan.

YanknCock · 06/02/2010 17:20
VinegarTits · 06/02/2010 17:20

i must have got them mixed up then

i still hate Tesco, quantity over quality imo

I dont mind Asda, its better than Tesco

bellavita · 06/02/2010 17:22

BofF - I have massaged you

Did you wash your old car Shiney, or is it just because you have a new one?

I too have done two loads of washing, cleaned up downstairs, prepped veg for tomorrow, made apple sauce and have put the belly pork on a tray in the conservatory overnight (tis really cold in there without the heater on) - it wouldn't fit in the fridge with all the other stuff. The pork only just and I say just fits on the baking tray.

Have made some brownies, ironed my tablecloths, set up the dining room table and have now declared that I am on strike until tomorrow morning and the boys and DH will have to do the fajhitas for tea.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 17:25

Vinny is claiming frizz bomb, not me Lizzy. My hair actually doesn't look significantly worse if it gets rained on (cos it's normal state is a bit fuzzy).

The Morrisons near my parents is awful too I'm afraid.

We went to Waitrose after the farm shop, it was rather lovely and we stayed away from the tempting deli section. Just had some guacamole and doritos. I'm now going to be very sad and add up teh stuff I I bought on Tesco online to see how much more it was. I think it won't be too bad, as we didn't buy many of the things that we always usually get the value range of (which would be impossible to buy as cheaply in Waitrose).

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 17:27

Ah, we are supermarket opposites Vinny, Tesco much better than Asda in my opinion - based entirely on quality/variety of food in the ones local to me of course, maybe your Tesco is shit but your Asda is a good one. And how can you say that after just complaining about American companies taking over the world?

VinegarTits · 06/02/2010 17:31

oh it was just my excuse to hate Tescos, will have to find another one now

Lizzylou · 06/02/2010 17:32

Sorry, I feel your pain, Vinny!

I prefer Tescos to Asda, the Asda near us is good for some stuff, but a lot of things are not v good and it isn't any cheaper, plus you get your clubcard points at Tescos.

Bella, you are a domestic goddess, bet Vinny is proud of you ironing your tablecloth!

Yank, lentils are normally in a nut roast?

Bet DIB is watching the rugby, with loads of Welsh men singing "I'm a wanker, I'm a wanker........" did love 5- Nations (as it was then) in my youth.

VinegarTits · 06/02/2010 17:35

its because they wont let me go in my pyjamas anymore, anyway i'm more of a Booths girl myself

bellavita · 06/02/2010 17:35

DH is watching the rugby and shouting at the tv. The boys want their tea but they have no chance with this on but I am determined to be on strike.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 17:37

I asume there are nuts in a nut roast - think it must be quite high in calories really...

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 17:39

We have the rugby on but no shouting here. Yet

Lizzylou · 06/02/2010 17:40

Aaaah, Booths , do love Booths.
Best place to shop ever, fave one is the Kirby Lonsdale one, actually would just love to live in Kirby Lonsdale, or Arkholme area.

Carnforth is good too.

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 17:49

OK we have had some shouting, it is now a proper rugby match

wastingaway · 06/02/2010 17:56

Who's winning?

TrillianAstra · 06/02/2010 17:59

England 13 Wales 3 - halftime now.

DP grew up in Wales, where there was a distinct anti-Englsih feeling in some of the villages, so he especially like England-Wales matches. Well, he likes them if we're doing well, anyway

I'm sure you look very glam in your pyjamas Vinny, they'd think you were an off-duty actress with your shiny shiny hair, and let you do your shopping in whatever clothes you liked.
