I am feeling pretty low emotionally and physically and are absolutely shattered. I wake up every morning and it is a struggle to get out of bed. Ideally I would go to bed when the kids do and get a good 11 hours in. Never going to happen naturally so I just want a helping hand. It isn't something I am planning on doing often but I need some sleep.

fabster - if it works then do it! I do sometimes have a glass of warm milk before retiring (after my glass of red wine though )
ONce I have slept well for a couple of nights, I do go to bed happy in the knowledge that I can do it and that does defo make a difference. I also have the Paul McKenna 'I can make you sleep' book and CD. Not sure if it works alone but it definitely gives the message that this is a temporary affliction as all humans are capable of sleep. Hope you get some zzzzz tonight (hope we all do for that matter

jajas - i hope it does help. just a warning thoughy - I had Amitrypitaline from docs - same doseage as you - it did work temporarily but a side effect is a dreadful dry mouth. Stock up on squash or sweets to suck sweet dreams!

I uses Melatonin for regulating my sleeping cycle. Due to work at irregular time, my sleeping cycle changes completely and leads to insomnia. My doctor suggest me to have it before 2 hrs going to bed. Local chemist doesn't have this. So, I purchased it from Pharmica (www.pharmica.co.uk)
