Sorry NDP, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but lol at "looked like I'd been shot in the face" .

I feel a new thread coming on.........

lou33 · 27/04/2005 13:39

go get one of those tea tree blemish sticks and apply every 10 mins?

NomDePlume · 27/04/2005 13:40

It did, even DH (who claims to be blind to my imperfections) would talk to it instead of to me....

nailpolish · 27/04/2005 13:40

maybe she doesnt want to leave the house

PuffTheMagicDragon · 27/04/2005 13:41

rofl NDP

lou33 · 27/04/2005 13:41

paper bag on head?

NomDePlume · 27/04/2005 13:41

lol, the tea tree blemish every 10 mins thing may just irritate the skin further, almost burning it ?

PuffTheMagicDragon · 27/04/2005 13:42

lol Lou - tea tree oil - good idea

lou33 · 27/04/2005 13:43

no it wont! you can also get those tea tree things that form a skin over the spot overnight and calm it down

Gawd, how sad am I for being absolutely addicted to this thread ?!

Heathcliffscathy · 27/04/2005 13:46

it is dry on top with weepy clear stuff if you touch (can you believe i'm still touching it! argh)

bag on head would be good, but frankly given the crap all over my tshirt (from cuddling ds after lunch) and the weary and worn look on my face, people probably just assume i've got some illness........argh, a bit of dry stuff is coming off...stop me picking it....stop me stop me.......this thning is NEVER going to go away is it...it's been days already...

OP posts:
lou33 · 27/04/2005 13:47

weepy stuff is cos it hasnt been cleared of the pus properly

Preggars · 27/04/2005 13:49

You're going to have to it

I am such a picker.

Heathcliffscathy · 27/04/2005 13:49

you seriously think i should squeeze it....i'll put a hole in my face lou. dh never notices things like this and piped up as we were washing teeth last night 'god, that's really bad sweetheart, you need to put some tcp on it'

OP posts:
lou33 · 27/04/2005 13:51

i think they look worse half squeezed, they just keep gettign bigger

Preggars · 27/04/2005 13:51

Is it still 'angry'?

redsky · 27/04/2005 13:56

What a great thread. I've had 20 years of craters like this on my face and chest! Wish I had heard of remedies like toothpaste, pile cream etc before. I mostly use t-tree oil and perfume but neither works as well as I'd like. Dd 12 has just started getting tiny spots and I've bought her some witchhazel toner - I'm terrified she's going to suffer as badly as I have.

Heathcliffscathy · 27/04/2005 13:56

ok, crusty top came off...i tried to squeeze (there was nothing). several pores are compromised, it does look like a crater with weeping stuff and blood. have a piece of cotton wool with tea tree oil stuck on my face as i type (stings like hell) and am not going to be able to go out this weekend it's throbbing ffs.

NomDePlume · 27/04/2005 13:58

spots are just the most miserable of minor ailments.

Heathcliffscathy · 27/04/2005 13:59

i think in terms of this afternoon, a plaster is the only option.

Preggars · 27/04/2005 13:59

Let the air get to it for a bit. Then put some sudocrem on and don't touch it again today.

Good luck, thinking of you. We've all been there. My nightmare is when I pick a spot at work in the loos and then spend 10 mins locked in the cubicle the the little F**ker won't stop bleeding.

NomDePlume · 27/04/2005 14:02

oh the embarrassment, I'd rather tell my collegaues that I've got the sh*ts than explain the mortifying truth of spot picking. I get zits quite regularly and it really knocks a person's confidence.

NomDePlume · 27/04/2005 14:05

colleagues

Papillon · 27/04/2005 14:08

lol.. I thought you meant nuclear power plant and moved next door...
st johns wort and calendula tincture... they should be able to make it up at the chemist

Beautiful at healing the skin. Good for cold sores too
