For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am a week into my cycle already.

Ooh Bero gorgeous hair!

Franny if you start feeling as though someone is rubbing sandpaper against your nipples it'll be thrush. They can also get quite sore when cold. Fingers crossed for you it isn't

TooT I also want to see pics when you finish the cardi. I want to knit a cardi for ds but am in the middle of something else atm and fear I may lose the urge once it is finished...

Ds has been coming out with some funny things. He seems older this week.

pinkspottywellies · 17/08/2008 20:20

Bero's boys are gorgeous, as is Bero's hair! And I thought TooT and Bero looked alike too.

I made a roast dinner today. I've got such a tiny appetite at the minute - I had a cupasoup for lunch, and about the same amount of dinner as dd! But managed cabbage, carrots, peas, sweet potato (does that count? If not can I have special pg dispensation to make it count?!) Oh rubbish. That's it. I'll go and have a banana when I finish my dairy milk

TooTicky · 17/08/2008 20:21

I'm about synchronised with Tatties.

Tatties, I am crocheting and loving it. Will def post pics when done.

Avi, remind me what you are studying?

TooTicky · 17/08/2008 20:23

Sweet potato should count.
But you lose points for the cupasoup

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:23

This is embarrassing but I would like to know who got ds2 the blanket with the apples on it
I am sorry I have got muddled, but everything was a bit of a blur in hospital when they arrived and I am not 100% sure which parcel it came in
I love it so much I want to buy another (or similar quality one - it is so nice and thick and soft) - hope someone will tell me where it came from?

Tatties · 17/08/2008 20:23

Oh sympathy Pink. It's hard to cook and shop for food too when you have little appetite. Hope it passes soon.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:24

Tatties thank you
fingers crossed here also

lots of us on here tonight
dp will come and ask for the pc in a minute

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:25

sweet potato does count
pink are you feeling unwell? have you tried spearmint? if it is morning sickness it could really help

OP posts:
Tatties · 17/08/2008 20:25

Franny the apple blanket was from Green Baby - so lovely and soft isn't it

TooTicky · 17/08/2008 20:26

I'm not here for long, have to get an early night. Was sitting up for part of last night cradling a v. hot ds2. Eventually managed to sleep a bit by propping my neck up with a large badger.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:28

oh yes yes yes i thought you had got it Tatties, am glad I was not totally up wrong tree
now I looked on GB and could not see any blankets as nice as that at all
it is the loveliest thing and I need another for when it is in the wash

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:29

at large badger
oh TooT I love you
hope ds2 is better now?

OP posts:
TooTicky · 17/08/2008 20:31

He is hot again this evening. I think it's aggravation from his remedy. If not, it's his take on the cold that's going around. Nobody else is hot though. Just snot and coughs everywhere.

Nice to be loved though

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:32

it is only platonic love inspired by your badger

before you get worried or do injunctions or whatever

OP posts:
TooTicky · 17/08/2008 20:32

Seriously, you should keep a variety of badgers to help with strange sleeping positions. They are invaluable.

pinkspottywellies · 17/08/2008 20:37

Poor ds2 TooT

I'm not feeling unwell and I feel hungry enough to shop and cook ok. (Except slight fussiness - can't fancy anything in a sandwich, hence the cupasoup!) It's just that I sit down to eat and think 'urgh' and feel full! I've not had any sickness or anything though so I'm doing alright. I've lost 6lb in the last 3 months though. I think my weight's supposed to be going up not down

Tatties · 17/08/2008 20:38

Well it was from all of us I am just looking on GB now and can only find a plain cotton blanket, no sign of the apple ones

TooT I hope you get a better night

TooTicky · 17/08/2008 20:39

Would it help if you read or watched telly whilst eating? So you don't think about it so much.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:39

oh yes sorry again
I knew it was from everyone, but someone told me that you had arranged the buying of some of it, Tatties, so I wanted to ask about it
I am still loving all of it
you lovely lovely souls

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2008 20:40

pink I will ask glowy lady what could help your appetite
I think sniffing spearmint oil might help you even though you don't feel sick exactly

Where's Zippi?

filthymindedvixen · 17/08/2008 20:50
