DP is really suffering fatigue and low energy. I’m working on improving his diet but in the shorter term he’s looking at B12 injections.

because he previously had weight loss surgery his GP won’t help him but blood tests did show he’s low in B12

does anyone order their own online and would recommend ?

My local chemist has a big poster in the window advertising, amongst other things, VitB12 and VitD injections. I don't know how much they charge but it my be worth your DH looking around to see if any pharmacies local to you also offer them.

Also, I assume your DH was given advice about vitamin & mineral deficiencies after his surgery, but incase he wasn't he might find this useful:

You are meant to take folic acid alongside vit b12 injections, otherwise b12 depletes folic acid supply. There are excellent sublingual tablets for folic acid, think they’re available on amazon. I self inject every two weeks as gp would only give every 3 months which left me feeling ill. I inject subcutaneously (pinching an inch of skin on abdomen and injecting into that.) Injecting into muscle felt too grim to me. You need a very fine needle to inject with to minimise pain. The injections sting but it’s over quickly.

Forgot to say there’s an excellent Facebook group called vitamin b12 wake up, very knowledgeable moderators who can fill you in on all the details.

Have a look at the B12 society website and join their support group. This is a hugely ignored and very destructive condition.
