Anyone else just constantly feeling nauseas?

My god…. For the last few weeks I’ve been feeling very queasy . It comes and goes , right now I feel like I need to throw up. I’ve had blood tests done and they came back fine and nothing else is being done apart from a scan of my stomach and pelvis because of recurring pain and also waiting a colonoscopy
but when I mention feeling sick everyday they just seem to give me anti sickness and nothing ever gets investigated. I’m not pregnant (took loads of tests cause it’s how I felt when pregnant with dd) 🤣
anyone else ?

Yes! It's just something I live with now as doctors can't seem to see past my weight. Constantly feeling nauseous as sick

I’m underweight and struggling to gain weight with no help. I’m sorry you’re going through it too!

I usually have low level nausea, it's from anxiety. When i was on medication i was fine, got pregnant so stopped the medication and just never went back on it, i now just try and live with it, definitely worse when something big comes up like a holiday,I'll feel sick from the evening before we travel until i go to sleep on arrival day.

Catsinaflat · 13/06/2024 22:07

I have it from gastritis. Try cutting out coffee, tea and alcohol for a start.
The Acid Watchers diet has very useful advice. Try Omeprazole for a week and see if it helps.

I don’t drink alcohol or tea and I will have a decaf latte if having coffee

You may want to have your gallbladder looked at. You could have stones or you could have a poorly functioning gallbladder that has no stones. That's what I had and I was nauseous most of the time and vomitted very regularly. It was horrible. Thankfully, I've had the bloody thing removed and I feel normal again.

I have this a lot but no one has ever mentioned the gall bladder. I’ve had camera down but they didn’t see anything wrong. They mentioned a diagnosis of cyclic vomiting syndrome but I’m wondering if it’s my gall bladder now

I thought this! I’ve been having pain for ages around gallbladder area and waiting a scan , but drs are quite dismissive cause they said I’m not “big” and gallstones is a “big” person problem?? Not sure if it runs in families but my whole family have had gallstones that required removal of gallbladder x

Gallstones may be more common in obese people, but that absolutely does not mean thin people never get them. You need to see a different doctor and be assertive. Tell them about your family history and be insistent that your gallbladder be checked. Ask for a HIDA scan which would show not only stones but your gallbladder's functionality level.

Definitely get it checked out. The camera would not detect gallstones.

An ultrasound would show gallstones. I had a lot of nausea with mine especially around tea time when I should have been hungry. Silent reflux, hiatus hernia as well. So I take nexium when I feel it coming on.

As pp said omeprazole might very well help.

A young mum at school, slim, fit had three emergency visits to the hospital before they discovered gallstones. So it's more than just weight.

Back to GP I'm afraid.

Goodness ! Yes they mentioned it’s not impossible for thin people to get them just not as likely as bigger people . I’m a diagnosed hypochondriac so I’m worried that everytime I ring the doctor they’ll see this on my record and not take me seriously 😭

Yes, been diagnosed with B12 deficiency, very low calcium and Hyperthyroidism.

I'd get bloods done to check for B12 and thyroid.

They did bloods for my thyroid last year during pregnancy and said they didn’t need to repeat again , I am going to ask a different doctor about this !

@Ttc125 Unfortunately Decaf coffee is also very acidic.

BiscuitBeast · 14/06/2024 08:43

It's a bacterial infection in the gut - it can damage the stomach lining. Symptoms can include nausea, reflux, gastritis, heartburn and generally unwell. Not an obvious one to treat at first as symptoms so generic. Stool sample analysis will detect it and then a course of target antibiotics.

I really don't understand why I haven't had a stool sample or coeliacs bloods. I've lost 2 stone since Sept with hyperthyroidism but have had nausea all that time so despite having huge hunger cannot eat. They keep insisting on a CT which I can't do due to untreated thyroid! Why?

Why can’t they do ct with untreated hyperthyroidism?
i have a lump in my throat this morning like I need to be sick
I’m so tired of feeling nauseous:((

Because the contrast would fry the thryoid and make it worse. They don't seem to read my file before putting in another appointment, which is very efficiently fast but has to be cancelled each time.

I'm just so confused how you can have a chronic illness and be left unmedicated for it for a month anyway, while not being able to eat properly or see a GP face to face. I've even considered going to the walk in when the cramps make me nearly pass out in the hope they might treat me for the chronic illness! NHS is shot.

I had nausea and feeling like I was going to be sick with helicobacter.
I was told it was psychological (my father had died the previous year but he'd been ill for years and not unexpected and tbh a relief after his suffering).
Had a pile of antibiotics and omeprazole or similar , it didn't go away then had different ones and fine since.
