Colonoscopy prep what kind of hell is this

This is my 2nd colonoscopy 1st with plenvu my last one was moviprep. I don't know if iv just blocked out the horror of the 1st one but this seems so much worse the taste I honestly can't cope it's mango flavour and it has this weird aftertaste and just trying so hard not to 🤮🤮 please distract me story's, jokes anything xx

I was sedated too and they said afterwards wasn’t that easier than yesterday (the drink). I was trying not to say ‘well duh!!!’

When I had one it was a drink first and then the second prep I had to squirt up my bum. That was absolutely awful! Good luck.

oh ok, sorry- a person from the US said they’d had it and a few others agreed- sorry you had to do it the soul destroying way too!!!

You can mix the prep with any cordial which isn’t purple or red. Too make it that little more palatable. I used apple cordial.

The prep is the worst thing about colonoscopy. You think yourself, I have been on a low residue diet and yet pooing like nothing else I have been through.

OK im officially a weirdo this 2nd lot of prep fruit punch flavour is actually bearable it kind of tastes like chalk lollies

Probs a silly question, but did the prep make you feel sick? Like awful? Or does it just give you really bad runs but you feel okay, just desperate?

Im going to be having 5 yearly colonoscopies soon, so just want an idea of what you feel like when you're preparing.

It makes you feel quite unwell I feel sick, exhausted and have a headache

i couldn’t wait to get home to eat after my most recent one - I devoured a McDonald’s on my way home! Not usually my choice of food but this one was delicious!!

I found it worse then the moviprep, even though its a smaller volume the taste of the mango one was the most revolting thing iv ever had. Its put me off mango for life 🤢

The preps fruit flavours is like Lemsip. Never been near a fruit!

Just give us a few tablets or a bag of sugar free sweets and we’ll be empty in no time
