pain in my throat for 10 days

OP posts:

Seeing my blood pressure at 210/120 when I went for a midwife appointment, then being on the verge of having eclampsia during my labour induction that same day and developing AFLP. I was in the high dependency labour ward before being rushed for an emergency c-section. I can barely remember any of it as I was so unwell.

Thankfully, I wasn't driving, I was the passenger. But out of nowhere, my eyes started moving from side to side really really fast, (like Action Man on fast forward) and I had absolutely no control over it at all.
It lasted around 2 minutes, but it frightened me to death, even more so thinking about what could have happened if I was driving!
It stopped and I was ok, but I booked a doctors appointment and was told it was vertigo! Never happened since, but it does make me worry.

My first ocular migraine.

No pain, no symptoms except flashing lights. Then I realised I couldn't read, the words on the page just faded away half way through. Then suddenly I was about 60% blind.

It was utterly terrifying, I thought I was having a stroke and about to drop dead.

I had this when my DD was born and she had colic and was screaming for 10 hours....they're meant to be triggered by stress. Never had it since but I thought I was going blind also 😂

After my first DC was born I was severely tachycardic. The nurse took my BP and laughed and said "well that can't be right". Then she took it again and stopped laughing sharpish!!!

Anxiety induced psychotic break. I did get few months off work after that though.

Op asked for symptoms not events or illnesses - so breathlessness vs peanut stuck in throat

OP is also the one calling a sore throat scary so it’s all relative..

Suddenly getting thousands of floaters in my vision while on a day out. My optician had previously warned me that short sightedness people like me are more likely to suffer a detached retina than most.
Luckily the eye hospital confirmed all was OK.

OP I suspect you have asked a question you didn't mean to ask. Sorry if I have misunderstood but it sounds like you might be anxious about your throat pain. If that's the case do you want to tell us about it and perhaps people can reassure you or suggest a way forward?

Pre eclampsia & HELLP syndrome with my major organs starting to fail, Peripheral neuropathy starting in my feet travelling up my legs, losing the feeling in my fingertips & lips.

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 03/04/2024 03:45

I fell over once and when I got up I had a massive crack in my arse.

No, seriously, Bronchial spasms. Being totally unable to breathe for upwards of a minute was no fun.
