Is anyone suffering with this really sore throat and cough?

I've had it for 3 weeks now. The first week I was absolutely exhausted with it. The tickly cough is mainly in the morning and evenings now. My throat is so sore and achy. When I wake up I feel like I am swallowing razor blades. I just can't seem to shift it.

I did but wish I hadn't! Felt better the 2nd week but kept working and then got worse again.

I do a hybrid schedule and chose to wfh all last week as I was coughing and just felt so rough. I wish I'd taken a day off though instead of powering through at home.

I'm back in the office today after an awful night's sleep. One of the worst night's I've had with it. It just won't shift in the evening or nighttime, it's really getting me down.

Are your work ok with you working more from home when unwell @starbrit ? For everyone still struggling with it how are you feeling today?

@Cloud44 they have been fine about it. I probably wouldn't make a habit of it but a few days at home they are ok with. Could you do the same?

How is everyone now? I have had this for 10 days and still struggling with the sore throat.

It has taken me 5 weeks to feel 100% plus I could rest a lot as am retired. . DH and DS also caught it and for the first time in four years DS had time off work as did DH who took sick leave for the second time only in the 28 years I have known him.

I am on day three and feel totally wiped out.

DAY 22 Starting to feel better but still have the cough. Doctor said it's a virus so no antibiotics.
