i ve got a really really bad foofy

its very sore, swollen, bright red, extremely hot and now i can see/feel a few spots
i cant sleep properly, im literally screaming in pain and its making me feel really dirty. i ve had thrush and it doesnt seem to feel as if its thrush, its seems to be spreading towards my bum now and im dreading having to go to the toilet.

i really dont want to go the docs cos im a young mum and i dont want them to think its a STI or STD from sleeping around (there s no offence meant but in my area its really common) im with ds father and we're getting married so its not like i ve been with any one else. i ve even looked on the internet to see if its anything to do with ingrowing hairs.

the only way i can describe it is its like a mix of thrush, piles, and a heat rash.

its soooo embarrassing but i can hardly walk and its getting me down.

has anyone had simular?? i ve been under a lot of stress recently and feeling really down. so this could be why im under the weather sorta thing.

please help me.

yes ring now for out of hours doc

or you might get away with self-referring to your local hospital gynae for a cancelled appointment

I would try that but I have no qualms about shouting about vaginas on the phone to receptionists

emma1977 · 20/03/2008 11:38

They are obliged to have out of hours cover, including today. Either the number will be on a recorded message when you ring the surgery or NHS direct will know (0845 4647).

Failing that, there's always A&E.

Don't wait all weekend.

boudoiricca · 20/03/2008 11:38

Of course we believe you!

And yes, I think you need to find somewhere else to go ASAP. Do they have a number for anyone else you can contact before they open again on Tuesday? It might be easier to get a GP to come to you if you have small dc?

Otherwise get to the hospital - can you call and make an appointment there or is it open surgery?

GreatAuntieWurly · 20/03/2008 11:38

what about walk-in centre??

ChickyChickyChooChoo · 20/03/2008 11:40

omg emma!!!! lol im DP is trying to get thru now the line is really busy. our docs are so stupid. they are open monday afternoons, only baby clinics on wed half day on thurs open on fridays. they are a pain

After this crisis is over, can I recommend you change your doctors? Those sorts of opening hours when you have children are ridiculous.

WanderingTrolley · 20/03/2008 11:42

Emma any woman who has spent a televisually dull evening with Remote Hogging Man will entirely understand why shoving it where the mice don't nibble is the only way to get to watch what you want.

That woman had class. Did she come back next time she wanted to change channels?

CCCC - NHS direct may be able to help you - you can speak to a nurse, and they may be able to tell you how and where you can get a quick appointment.

ChickyChickyChooChoo · 20/03/2008 11:46

i know there is a local ish clinic about 4 miles away in neath. the nearest doctors (to change to ) is a hell of a bus journey to get there. and then its their sister surgery so its nearly as bad. before we moved to where we are, a petition was held which has kept open for the days we ve got now!!

we're always losing remote controls in our house and I've been trying to think of a safe place where I will always know where it is...

hmm....

Got it!

I'll put it in my handbag

WanderingTrolley · 20/03/2008 12:14

Er, just a guess jellyhead.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 20/03/2008 12:42

A book of stamps, though...

Good luck, you have my sympathies, it sounds like an allergic reaction to me, I'm allergic to everything. Once when I was a student I was feeling a bit cheeky, and used immac all over my bits. Spread on a nice thick layer and sat down to wait. It started to sting, then burn, then I was on fire and wanted to rip my lips off.

By the time I had washed the cream off my foof had come up in enormous 20p sized weals/hives, was bright red, mostly bald but with tufts of frazzled hair, and it was excruciatingly painful! I was literally crying with the pain, my whole groin was totally burnt. I just managed to get a skirt on before my long-distance boyfiend turned up for a "weekend of passion"

Needless to say not much passion was had. Although it may have if I'd just gone to the doctor instead of plastering it in germolene and sulking (while my friends hooted with laughter everytime I sat down slowly, I might add- bastards)

Let us know how you get on! and if you're pg!!!

loopylou6 · 20/03/2008 16:12

any news CCCC

Flight · 20/03/2008 16:34

oh poor CCCC

If it was the dreaded H. it could easily have been caught from your boyfriend een though he hasn't any symptoms at the moment - or a past boyfriend - it can take months or years to actually cause any symptoms and doesn't mean anyone has been unfaithful.

If it is that they can treat it and monitor you if you are pg - I hate to say it but if a woman has herpes and it is active when she gives birth, it can cause blindness and all sorts of things in the baby, so I really hope it is just an allergy.

Let us know what happens, CCCC x

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 20/03/2008 17:44

How are you doing Chicky?? Hope you have got this sorted and can look forward to a weekend of TLC from Dp

Anything you have to go in for ever again will seem mild in comparison.

QuintessentiallyAnEmptyCave · 20/03/2008 17:51

I was just going to say, my friend had some pains recently that resembles what you describe, it was an inflamed sweat gland in her fanjo, so no sti. (They had to operated though, and she was off work for a week)
Am I cruel to share that with you?
