FIT result 43 - should I be worried?

Had some rectal bleeding, plus always tired. Menopausal. No weight loss. Been more constipated since having a Mirena fitted but generally go at least every other day. Lots of green veg/chia seeds/linseeds etc.

Had blood tests which were satisfactory/normal range. Was expecting to be told fit was negative however apparently not.

Been referred on the 2 week pathway (although GP says currently more like 4-6 week minimum).

There's no obvious lumps and bumps outside so I'm guessing (hoping) it's internal piles?

Any help/experience/advice gratefully received.

@JoyeuxNarwhal thats brilliant news, so pleased for you. Did you have sedation for the colonoscopy? Were they able to tell you straight after that what they found? I’m just about to start my prep now 😬Have a cystoscopy booked for 15 Jan too.

@Rosienose yep, they told me verbally at the end of the procedure and then was given a written report just before going home which a nurse went over with me in detail. Yes I had sedation (midazolam and fentanyl). Have been absolutely wiped out today which I guess is why they say don't drive/work afterwards! Wasn't allowed to leave recovery until I'd farted Blush

Hope the prep hasn't been too hideous for you. Good luck tomorrow 🍀
