Athletes foot won’t go, can’t take flucanozole

It’s driving me mad.

Ive tried everything. Under my little toes. The best thing is putting a barrier of toilet roll or cloth between them, but it doesn’t stay in place. It’s just getting worse.

Ive even tried Head and Shoulders shampoo. Nothing works. Some of the meds were from GP so prescription strength😣

Is it definitely athletes foot and not something like psoriasis, has a doctor seen it.

I know. I did. But I’ve given up wearing trainers, they triggered the entire thing.

Once you have gone through the whole process again with Lamisil cream. If you want to wear trainers use surgical spirit before you wear them and wear socks

I tried disinfection on DH trainers, washing, leaving in the sun for a month. Nothing worked. I binned them. Apparently it was a common issue with that make. You just couldn't kill the spores.

I agree. I would be wondering about the diagnosis myself after so much treatment.

I thought I had athletes foot a few years ago - it kept getting worse despite treatments.

Did some looking at MN and some googling and it was pomphlyx eczema which clear up quickly with petroleum jelly. I don't know if it was the chemicals irritating the skin more which made it worse
