Can someone tell me why it feels like the whole world is about to fall out of my fanjo and it hurts so much that I can't put my mooncup back in?

WWB, that was my first thought too, really hope it's not. Is the pain still there?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 20:47

oh god wwb really?

What's a bartholins' cyst?

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 20:49

adn why did i put an apostrophe in there?

I've had awful period pains before, but this is really horrendous. I'm okay at the moment, now i've stopped moving for a while. But the stabbing pain is awful. Like sitting on hot knitting needles.

I cant believe the pain putting the mooncup in, and taking it out again. It hurts all along the back.

GP, ASAP, sounds like it could be a prolapse, my Mil was in a lot of pain with hers.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 20:52

When you say asap - can it wait until monday kind of asap? you lot are worrying me now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/02/2008 20:53

I'm guessing that you maybe shouldn't put your mooncup back in if it is a prolapse.

for you.

rantinghousewife · 22/02/2008 20:54

If it's really painful, I would see if you can see someone as soon as, tbh. Mil said it felt like her insides were dragging/falling out.

YouKnowNothingOfTheCrunch · 22/02/2008 20:54

Call NHS direct. If it is prolapse it could get worse. Keep your legs together and no mooncup.

expatinscotland · 22/02/2008 20:54

OW!

i'd wait, though.

beautifuldays · 22/02/2008 20:55

list of symptoms of a prolapse here

hope it isn't, but sounds like you need to get yourself to a gp. poor you xxx

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 20:58

I often get a low down dragging sensation when I have AF. But this is a bit more than usual.

I've not put it back in - I cant face trying to get it out again which is much worse than putting it in. I nearly passed out earlier trying to get it out.

I'm using a gastly super strenght sanitary towel.

I was wondering if it was endometriosis actually. Because the pain is along the back wall of my vagina, I wondered if there was tissue growing (then bleeding) between my bowel and vagina which is why it hurts to sit on the loo, and to pass wind etc. When I say hurts - it induces the stabbing pain.

rantinghousewife · 22/02/2008 21:00

Yes, I suppose it could be, probably more likely to be endometriosis, thinking about it. Do your surgery have a saturday morning clinic?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 21:06

No, just out of hours service based at the local hospital.

Thanks for that link bd.

The bit about frequent UTI's was interesting. I've had two kidney infections in the last 4 months and cystitis a few times.

I've had horrific period pains that have required various medicines and investigations when i was in my late teens. This is different though, and so sudden after things had settled - especially since using a mooncup since November.

Thank you all.

Hope it gets sorted

Miserable for you.

rantinghousewife · 22/02/2008 21:09

Just asked mil and she says that if it is a prolapse, you will be able to feel where it has slipped iyswim, if that helps.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 21:15

Didnt notice anything on insertion or removing of the mooncup. Thank you for asking RHW

It just feels quite tender (which doesnt make sense because there isnt much in the way of nerve endings further up.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2008 21:16

(asking your mil, that is. Did she think it a bit weird?)

thanks too YKONTC

How are you doing today, VVV?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 23/02/2008 20:42

Better, thanks for asking WWB . Put mooncup back in late last night after making sure there was no apparent prolapse (that I could feel).

I bled quite heavily last night and it overflowed this morning when I rolled on to my side . Removing my mooncup was quite sore again. So has doing bowel movements, or the process of wind passing around just before passing it. (Sorry if that is TMI!). There is definite soreness right up at the back. It's seems like its coming from my cervix area and just behind.

It's so strange. It was generally quite tender most of the day. Took DD to a party and had a bit of cramping there. Much better this evening.

I feel like I am really bruised inside though.

OP posts:
DettaJnr · 23/02/2008 21:47

Could you have an infection? You would be able to feel a prolapse, especially if you were inserting a mooncup.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 23/02/2008 23:58

I've thought about that Detta. DH suggested it too, because he seems to be under the impression that mooncups are far less hygienic than sanitary towels!

There is no temperature though, and no odours or smells. I think I'll make an appointment to see the Dr next week though. I can't go through this every month.
