Hello everybody, I hope you’re all having a relaxing bank holiday. It’s been raining a lot here in the north west but at least I haven’t had to water my flowers. Went out for Sunday lunch yesterday with mum and a friend. Today I’m relaxing and pottering with my cat.
@LemonDrizzle10 I’ve never had any success with false lashes, I’m too clumsy but maybe try asking on Style and Beauty section.
@ajandjjmum Im so sorry you’re having all that hassle with your wound healing but good you’re getting a second opinion.
@EachandEveryone I’m another one on my own like @Fantasea I find it hard waking in the middle of the night feeling so alone. At the moment I’m anxiously waiting my one year mammogram results.
@TopOfTheCliff have a fabulous time in Cornwall 🚤

Last one I promise! I had to leave my beloved, detached family home and live in a flat due to my husband’s fondness of extra marital shenanigans but I’m so fortunate it’s on the side of a canal so very tranquil views

@Mycatispretty your patio is beautiful! It sounds lovely to be beside the canal.

thanks for the tip.

I’m on my own too - DD is with her dad this bank holiday. She’s here next weekend, we have a street party planned- the bunting went up on Friday - we love a bit of bunting in our street.

Hi everyone, hope you're all ok and managing to enjoy the bank holiday as much as you can. I went into overdrive and cleaned the downstairs of the house within and inch of its life yesterday and got three loads of washing dried too - rock and roll here isn't it 🤣 did go out for a nice long walk and sit in the garden too. I hope you all have a good day today.

bringonyourwreckingball · 01/05/2023 08:30

@Chocolateismyfavourite wow, amazing. I tried to be a domestic powerhouse yesterday but only managed about an hour before I needed to go a lie down for a bit.
@Mycatispretty your garden is beautiful- I am aiming for something like that when I have to move due to my stbxh fondness for extra marital shenanigans

JlL2013 · 01/05/2023 08:44

@Mycatispretty your patio garden is amazing. What are the pink daisies? They are beautiful. I did nothing with my garden last year as I was waiting diagnosis and was so bloody negative about anything. Planted my tulips when I'd just finished treatment

I think it's Bellis Perennis or the common daisy.

@Mycatispretty your garden is so lovely! I literally spent so much money on our garden last year and I can't do anything with the bastard thing this year! I might pay a gardener to sort it out this year and keep on top of it.

I think I will talk to the drs tomorrow about pain management for my stupid arm. I've got no sensation at all under my arm but my god the nerve pain is horrific.

EachandEveryone · 01/05/2023 10:34

I also have a patio garden. Its a mess I need someone to help me empty the pots. The market is open so I might potter there later. The house plants are taking over the flat. Yesterday I bought a very large eithering cheeseplant I hope it will come back to life. My cat needs a good groom also but she wont let anyone touch her. The other one doesnt leave my side.

Thanks everyone. Yes I should really get numbness checked out, it's odd it's one sided. I think clinic is open again on Tuesday. It's better than it was. I did get this a few years ago and never totally established what it was, after 2 mris they said either strange migraines with no headache or TIAs, they said TIAs most likely. It does seem to get better with exercise.

So I got DH to come with me and join the local Holiday Inn pool and just went there first time today. Was crowded today but normally its fine, did an hours exercise so better than nothing.

Beautiful flowers and cats. We inherited a magnificent garden, we live in a thatched cottage and an old lady who was a keen gardener lived here before us. We have managed not to destroy it completely. Needs some work now, have done trees and lawn and cut some of the roses back and got the necessary chickens and cute chicken cottage but plants need more work. It's a bird magnet though.

JlL2013 · 01/05/2023 13:32

@EachandEveryone your kitties are lovely x

Chocolateismyfavourite · 01/05/2023 13:40

Loving the cat photos 🤩

Mycatispretty · 01/05/2023 16:06

Loving all the flowers and cat photos. Yes the pink flowers are Bellis. I randomly bought them in Aldi and to my delight slugs don’t like them and they’re frost hardy. My baby girl

@EachandEveryone love your fluffy friend
@JlL2013 your garden looks so pretty and what an incredibly relaxed cat!

JlL2013 · 01/05/2023 16:40

@Mycatispretty, thank you, he's an absolute psychopath to be fair, don't let the posing fool you!

EachandEveryone · 01/05/2023 17:08

Gorgeous cats?My Daphne is bloody annoying though every two hours she wakes me up in the night. Either by jumping on my chest and friightening the life out of me or scratching at the door until I give in.

last of my 4th cycle tomorrow. Two more to go. Another eight weeks. Glasto is on my second but last chemo I hope he doesnt mind shuffling it abit. Ideally I will miss it completely so I can feel a little bit normal while Im there.

Silkierabbit · 01/05/2023 18:12

Each Mine would rearrange chemo, just ask in advance about it. Floof also likes to wake me up, he's 1.1 metres now and he will jump on my headboard and poke my head with his big fluffy paw or side of bed poke. I've only once had the jump on my chest method whilst asleep but he's 8kgs so it was like death by fluff, a nicer way to go than I imagined.

bringonyourwreckingball · 01/05/2023 19:32

My cat Kylo has started waking me up when he decides he wants breakfast by knocking over the bedside lamp and causing general mayhem. We call him the kitten of mass destruction. Trouble is it’s getting earlier and earlier now it’s light in the morning.

Silkierabbit · 01/05/2023 20:59

It's just as well we don't have bedside lamps as Floof when jumping on the headboard via bedside table other day knocked the whole bedside table over. He then sat on headboard and looked at me like can I blame this on her? 😼Then clearly decided no as ran out super fast from the crime scene.
