Im so scared. I've had a raft of symptoms, pain under right right, Gas, wind.

I've just had an abnormal FIT test of 10, they said it's borderline but with the symptoms it's very worrying.

Im completely freaking out, I have 2 small kids

Thank you for checking in.@Coldaroo

I've had a gastroscopy that found a small hernia and I had a ct colonoscopy a week last Monday which I'm still waiting the results of.

I've still not heard back. I've been chasing the results but not heard anything. I have an appointment in two weeks time. I'm hoping the fact that I haven't heard anything yet is good news, but it's impossible not to worry.

I’ve just seen that you’ve posted an update. That’s good that they didn’t see anything too terrible on the colonoscopy! No news is good news. I hope you hear something soon and you can put it all behind you!

Coldaroo · 03/03/2023 22:41

Ah, the wait is the most difficult bit, isn't it? Really hope you get reassuring answers soon!

BeeBB · 03/03/2023 22:51

Take care OP and remember no news is good news. They usually contact you fairly quickly if anything to worry about. Take care

ilkleymoorbartat · 04/03/2023 12:29

Thank you @BeeBB that's what I'm hoping, but who knows. Thank you for the good wishes though.

Ice been chasing up my results for the last two days. Still no news although I know the hospital has the report, so it's not a delay in the filling of the report. I've tried going through the gps who have actually said they're going to complain to the hospital becuase I should have heard by now given that I was on a pathway.

oh my goodness. It’s ridiculous. No one can believe how horrendously stressful waiting for results is until you’ve been there.
When were you told to expect results?
thinking of you xxx

ilkleymoorbartat · 07/03/2023 15:35

It's so stressful. It had it just over 3 weeks ago

@ilkleymoorbartat my dad has just been diagnosed with bowel cancer, hence why I am rooting around in threads such as this. If it is any consolation, he was given the bad news immediately after colonoscopy before he was allowed home. No wait for results. I would guess that you would have heard by now if it is something very sinister, especially since they put you on the fast pathway. Wishing you all the best.

Mummmyy · 17/07/2023 15:25

Mummmyy · 17/07/2023 15:26

Cocopops555 · 17/07/2023 19:34

Sorry to hear that I think ilkleymoorbartat got diagnosed as not having cancer but she didn’t update so I don’t really Know.
I unfortunately was diagnosed with rectal cancer in February this year. Most people are not it’s something much less serious. So try not to worry. I’ve had radiotherapy and tumour nearly disappeared. Good luck
