Awful stomach pain after unwanted anal sex last week

Just wanting some advice over whether I should go to the hospital tonight or wait for my doctors appointment tomorrow?

Background: I have ulcerative colitis, had my large intestine removed in 2015, had a stoma for a year, then had a reversal, no J pouch, just direct small intestine - rectum.

A week ago I had (unconsented to) anal sex, and ended up in the hospital two days after with a horrendous stomach ache that I just couldn’t cope with. They sent me home after doing an X Ray and a CT Scan and said it was a flare.

Since yesterday, my lower stomach has been hurting. It feels like I’ve been kicked and the pain is just prolonging. It hasn’t stopped, not even for a second, and is even worse if I breathe out. I just got a pain that felt like a spark, but mainly it’s this dull ache that hasn’t gone for two days.

It’s feeling a bit worse, and I’m starting to get concerned. As mentioned I have an appointment tomorrow, and I can definitely make it through until then - but with my background (perforated colon) I’m worried about leaving it when it’s getting worse.

Any thoughts?

when you went to the hosp last week, did you tell them what had happened, how the injury might have been caused.
if you didn't tell them the whole story, that may be why they didn't investigate further.
don't leave it. go now. and tell them everything.
good luck.

Did you tell the hospital you had been anally raped?

You need to tell the doc you are raped.

They won't report it or force you to.

They need full info. You could have been injured internally and currently they have no reason to consider that.

OP I read your previous thread and I really hope you’re okay and are going to do something about what happened because it wasn’t okay. I’m not going to pile on on that front but with the medical side of things I really think you need to go to A&E and tell them exactly what happened, in confidence. No one is going to make you report it if you don’t want to, but your health is at steak.

There is nothing to lose from going to A&E, but you may have something to lose from putting off seeking help.

I have UC also. It is very concerning to me that your small intestine is attached to your rectum. As others have said, it is small in diameter.

You really should have more investigations. You could have a tear or rupture that could be very dangerous.

Get medical help urgently.

Please seek medical help immediately.

I'm very sorry that you were raped.

are you alone, OP.
any fever, shudders, confusion etc. or cold extremities.
see signs of sepsis.
seek medical help.
tell them everything.
good luck.

Please report whoever did this to you & see a doctor either at A & E or by ringing 111, explain that you have been sexually assaulted, they should have a doctor who deals with this.

I hope you did go/are going to hospital because you absolutely could have a perforation and you must be seen and treated asap. I know you already went, and they didn't find anything - but you're still in pain and the flare could have caused further problems.

My mum didn't have UC but she did have diverticulitis and nearly died when one of her diverticuli perforated - same as a ruptured appendix, in effect - had to have her insides all washed out and spent over a week in ICU as well as having a colostomy.

Please go.

You need to go back to hospital and disclose to the doctor the trauma to your rectum.

Why is a rape victim getting such a hard time on here?!

Hope you are okay OP.

This is the 3rd thread that I know of in the last week on the same situation - non consensual anal sex, otherwise known as rape. Have you posted about this before op?

@noprofessional

Why is a rape victim getting such a hard time on here?!

Hope you are okay OP.

I think because some people recognise the op from previous threads and the previous advice is ignored. Rightly or wrongly they find it frustrating.

@dryasaboner

I don't know why you are skirting around the issue of being raped and reporting it?

For fuck sake, women shouldn’t be forced to report a rape. Getting a conviction is rarer than finding a unicorn, yet women are be pressured into putting themselves through that extra trauma?

She doesn’t have to report it, it’s her choice.

Yes she has @knittingaddict, she mentioned this upthread.

Last week, I did think surely it's too horrific to be real, surely no one would do this.
