Awful stomach pain after unwanted anal sex last week

Just wanting some advice over whether I should go to the hospital tonight or wait for my doctors appointment tomorrow?

Background: I have ulcerative colitis, had my large intestine removed in 2015, had a stoma for a year, then had a reversal, no J pouch, just direct small intestine - rectum.

A week ago I had (unconsented to) anal sex, and ended up in the hospital two days after with a horrendous stomach ache that I just couldn’t cope with. They sent me home after doing an X Ray and a CT Scan and said it was a flare.

Since yesterday, my lower stomach has been hurting. It feels like I’ve been kicked and the pain is just prolonging. It hasn’t stopped, not even for a second, and is even worse if I breathe out. I just got a pain that felt like a spark, but mainly it’s this dull ache that hasn’t gone for two days.

It’s feeling a bit worse, and I’m starting to get concerned. As mentioned I have an appointment tomorrow, and I can definitely make it through until then - but with my background (perforated colon) I’m worried about leaving it when it’s getting worse.

Any thoughts?

You need to go to the police. Flowers

You’ve been raped. Non-consensual sex is rape. You need to get to hospital urgently to get this looked at, and you should strongly consider calling the police.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. If you’re in a relationship with the man who did this then it might be worth contacting Refuge or Women’s Aid for assistance. He will not change.

Also contact Rape Crisis for support. Please do go to hospital. Thinking of you Flowers

Have you checked your temp ? HR ? Appendix ?

A and E won't judge you, you need to tell them everything that's happened in case it is from this.

Feeling like you've been kicked sounds much worse than a dull ache to me. With UC you will likely be used to a lot more pain than most of us, and you know what is normal for you and what isn't.

This is specialist and none of us will have a clue really, but if you were my daughter or sister I'd rather you got checked out. All you need to "justify" an A&E visit is a serious concern that it could be something serious.

planningtoleave · 27/09/2021 23:28

Thank you @MissCreeAnt it’s definitely not normal for me. I sat with it last night hoping it would go away but 24 hours later it’s just getting worse. I will go, thank you!

I don't know why you are skirting around the issue of being raped and reporting it?

Report
planningtoleave · 27/09/2021 23:37

Because that isn’t the issue I’m talking about. I’m explaining the situation and asking for advice specifically on something else. The situation is something I’m dealing with, thanks to the support of mumsnet last week.

Go to A&E OP. And then the police.

I’m sorry this has happened to you, and I hope you’re no longer with the bastard that did this to you. Why were your other threads deleted?

@dryasaboner

I don't know why you are skirting around the issue of being raped and reporting it?

Because they are in pain and not many people are able to report rape

OP you say the hospital sent you home after doing an x-ray and said it was a flare.

Did you tell them you had been raped?

If you don't tell them they won't be able to help you properly

Your small intestine is joined to your rectum It is the size of a finger . Nothing larger than a finger can penetrate it without damage

Op, I would urge you to attend A&E. With the surgery you've had you've potentially obtained a serious injury.

If you develop any other symptoms, including those of sepsis, don't hesitate and call an ambulance.

An Internet forum won’t be of much use here, it’s a medical crisis and also a matter for the police. Have you contacted any agencies about the rape? :(

Don't ask this here, look at your thread title and call for medical assistance. Now.

Stop trying to enmesh other forum users in this. Very unfair.
