111 or can I wait for gp?

So I stubbed my toe a couple days ago and got a small cut on it. Went to work. Over the last day it's gone red, hot, swollen and very painful. I know it's infected and think there's some pus there. I'm prone to infection having had an abscess and sepsis this year oral anti biotics I am almost completly resistant to. I am also 18 weeks pregnant. So I know I need to be careful. I feel fine in myself. If I didn't I think I'd go to a&e. My problem I have autism and struggle with doctors. I also have struggled with self harm, so most of the doctors especially ones at the hospital are horrible to me, see me as a pathetic mental helath case and never take me seriously which often causes me to melt down. My gp knows me well and believe could get me the best route to help. I'm also not jumping at it cause it's a toe so a small area. I just don't know what to do and I'm pretty stressed.

The Perosn I spoke to was really nice. There's nothing much choice in pregnancy but to continue with the anti bs I'm on. So been told if it dosnet get better to go to gp. If it gets worse to go back to a&e

OverTheRainbow88 · 15/11/2020 16:36

When should the anti Bs start to kick in?

Don’t leave unless you are happy with what was decided.

whatsbinhappnin · 15/11/2020 16:54

Very glad you have been seen. Well done!

Have you/they drawn around it to keep an eye on spread?

Hope you start to feel better soon

foreverfrustrated09 · 15/11/2020 18:02

Well done for dealing with today. Sounds like you've managed to stay calm and get a plan. Thanks

I agree not to be afraid to go back if needed.

Audreyseyebrows · 15/11/2020 18:59

Rest up op. I’m glad you got seen. Well done.

whatsbinhappnin · 15/11/2020 23:07

Rest well!

Agree don't be reluctant to go back if needed- that's what they have advised you do if needed, and they will have written in your notes that that's what they've advised if it seems to get worse, so don't feel too worried about doing so.

Sleep well and check in with us tomorrow Smile

So redness has gone down but the toe has got more swollen and painful I'm currently trying to get through to gp with very little success !

OP posts:
Audreyseyebrows · 16/11/2020 16:54

That’s rubbish! How are you feeling about being back there?
Tell me about Chester!

foreverfrustrated09 · 16/11/2020 17:08

Chester is my tiger ! Got him from Chester zoo (I know original name)
I hate being back but I'm worried about my baby (he's a boy, going to call him Dylan I think). I don't feel well and it's deffintly worse (picture) I think teh woke foots going red and I don't know what that white strip is!

Also love the name Dylan! Have you had a good pregnancy so far?

foreverfrustrated09 · 16/11/2020 17:13

OP posts:
unicornparty · 16/11/2020 17:35

Op do you have a partner looking after you? You say you're pregnant so presuming you've got someone there for you.

foreverfrustrated09 · 16/11/2020 17:37

No I don't unfortunately. The father wasn't a nice person he will not take a place in raising my son. I'd broken of the reapshinship after the last time I had met him.

Audreyseyebrows · 16/11/2020 17:41

OverTheRainbow88 · 16/11/2020 18:00

Oh ouch it does look sore, hope you get seen ASAP. Don’t leave until you are happy with them what they’ve said and the treatment offered.
