Trapped wind or something else?

Hopefully this is the right place to post.

Around 3 weeks ago i started to feel sharp pains in my belly, around when i believe i ovulated so put it down to my normal ovulation pain. But they didn’t disappear like normal. Got stronger and i then started to feel small flutters/movement.

Google says its most likely trapped wind but it doesn’t feel like trapped wind.

The flutters are all over my belly some times the side sometimes near my ribs and a few times around the top of my groin area.

Trying to get a doctors appointment but not having any luck at the moment.

Any ideas? Or if it is wind any ideas on how to get it to stop?

I think part of your colon is up near your ribs so it could still be to do with wind and bowels I think. Hope you don’t have to wait to long for the scan.

How are you getting on?

I'm booked now to have a endoscopy & a ct colonoscopy so hopefully won't have to wait too long to find out the cause of all my pain

Will you have to wait long? Hopefully it wont be ling untill you can get to the bottom of things

Im still waiting for scan appointment im not sure how long the wait is at the moment.

Im not having pain any more just a strange popping/tapping/rolling sensation on and of during the day. I also dont feel well but i cant explain why, which is not helpful or useful as if i cant explain it to myself then i cant explain to doctors

I'm waiting on an appointment(s) so I'm not sure. Iv been sent to a private hospital that takes nhs so maybe that will speed things up. I'll let you know.

I hope you got your scan quick, I had an abdominal ultrasound the same week I called up, and had ultrasound on ovaries the same week too those were a month or so ago. You've just got to chip away at it, you know your own body and you know when somethings not right.

I find it had to explain to the Gp and sometimes feel intimidated by them, some calls have brought me to tears after I've spoken to the gps. I just don't think they're taking me seriously 😐 just keep going

I'm still waiting for dates for my two investigation procedures I received the blood test appointment today for a few weeks time I'm hoping that the ops will be after that?

I'm on day 10 of a liquid diet. It helps more than it doesn't although I feel really sick tonight

Still waiting on scan date but a lot of non urgent appointments are being cancelled or pushed back at the moment so i dont think it will be any time soon.

Pain has gone thankfully but still feeling bloated and the movement felling is still there. Its random times and moves around my belly. At the bottom, side by my ribs ect. Can be standing or sitting and randomly feel it or it can be on and of for a few minutes,

The only thing that has change is i dont think there as strong? But not really sure.

I'm feeling ok but only because I'm on a liquid only diet day 15 of that now. Have the odd funny turn but I'm 98% better so think it's definitely a bowel issue.

Just waiting to get to have it investigated and I'm happy Iv found a way to get through the wait now relatively comfortably

Its good that you are at least comfortable whilst you wait to have it investigated. Hopefully it wont be to much longer until you have answers.

Iv had a gastroscopy no results yet and awaiting a ct colonoscopy

Have they given you any ideas on when you might get the results?

Been seen by three doctors and a nurse. No one could agree on what it may be.

Have been told everything from stones to wind.

Did have a scan on my belly and an internal scan so just awaiting the results.

Symptoms are still there only now i have leaky breasts (sorry) to go with it. Google says this could be due to a few things so will wait and see.

No Iv no idea about when or how I get the results I'm chasing up the next test so figured they'd find me if they need to ref- the results (had 4 biopsies taken).

It takes ages to get a diagnosis doesn't it. 6 months later Im still no better. I'm in bed today feel so poorly 😭

Sounding more like a pregnancy all the time.

@Itonlytakesone do you have any changes in bowel motions can I ask? I have been feeling ill since July with a change in bowel motions and gallbladder attacks. The dr has advised that the gallstones would not affect the bowels so I am also wondering what it could be. I am due to have a colonoscopy and gastroscopy.

@Itonlytakesone i was a little surprised how quickly my scan appointment came through but i think that was mostly down to the amount of times i phoned the doctors.

@Tambourina a lot of the symptoms would point that way yes. But three different doctors have felt my belly and not said anything, iv been having normal periods and negative tests. Also i had a scan which im guessing and hoping they would of mentioned a baby.

Iv got symptoms of a partial blocked bowel I feel so terrible. I need diagnosis as it could be anything else. I'm awaiting ct colonoscopy but it's not until mid January so fed up now.

My advice- Don't let them talk you into doing your gastroscopy without sedation 🙈I didn't get sedated but regretted this after as it was quite uncomfortable. Good luck

Thanks it only takes one. I think I am having the colonoscopy and gastroscopy done on the same day so will make sure have sedation as I am really worried about them both. I actually missed the call when they rang to book it and they left a message saying they would call back but haven’t and that was a couple of weeks ago.

That's a lot in one day but with waiting lists if you can then do it! Don't wait for them to call you though I'd give them a call try to book in I'm afraid it's every man for himself at the moment.

@Itonlytakesone thanks, I hadn’t wanted to call as the letter said not to but your right as they haven’t phoned again I think I will have to call. I am scared though which is making me not rush to book it

Hi OP, I know this is thread is a month old but did you ever find out what it was? I have exact same symptoms as you and feeling a bit worried. Hope all ok

@makinganavalon unfortunately no idea still. Doctors are basically telling me they cant find a reason as tests are normal. Two pelvic scans one said just normal the other said all normal and lining looks nice and thick what ever that means. Blood tests come back normal so no idea why my boobs are still leaking. Symptoms are still the same, bloating feel sick on and off, cramps on and off and a fluttering/moving feeling, leaking breasts. A new symptom is im getting itch a lot to.

I have another appointment coming up in two weeks to see if they are going to try anything else.

Have you see your doctor yet?
