TMI coming up..

Been having cramps for a couple of days, although not due a period.

Went to loo and felt something 'there' , got a tissue, and saw a big blob of jelly come out my vagina. It's a little cloudy but mostly clear, about the size of my thumb or bigger. No smell. Thick like jellyish.

Cramps worse after it came out.

I'm not seriously worried or anything, just what the is this?? Does anyone know??

Pay attention to how you feel OP, just on the off chance you're pg. Make sure you are somewhere safe.

I'm not impressed with your DH. Much older, so so angry if you get pregnant, yet using a notoriously unreliable contraceptive method and "He point blank refuses to get a vasectomy."

Really? He sounds awful! Sorry!

Treesandbreeze · 19/06/2020 19:31

I also get bad cramps (worse than period) and lumps of EWCM during ovulation, for 3 of 4 days. No idea if that’s normal or not but I’m definitely not pregnant

NYCDreaming · 19/06/2020 19:54

Either ovulating or pregnant - from what you say probably ovulating, but might be worth taking a test just to be sure.

Echo what people have said though - he would have no right to be angry if you were pregnant, that's what happens when you have unprotected sex!

Redannie118 · 19/06/2020 20:06

He would be so angry if you fell pg again, knows the awful side effects you get with hormonal bc?
Then he has the snip. Simple- problem solved

Stabbitha · 19/06/2020 20:11

Dehydrated?

SusieMyerson · 19/06/2020 20:12

I feel i should know this but is the withdrawal method where the bloke comes outside of you? Because that's pretty grim and can't be much fun for either of you.

purplecorkheart · 19/06/2020 20:18

I have had it a few times and it was discharge. Totally normal I was told by collage nurse. My cycle was super irregular at the time. I haven't had if for years but my cycle has settled. Not sure of they are related.

Lweji · 19/06/2020 20:42

I can't be bothered arguing now unless it's really big stuff.

Why are you with him?
This is big stuff.

Regardless, go to a proper family planning appointment, not just a gp. They should be able to discuss with you ALL that is available to you. Including methods that rely on detecting ovulation. It's pretty safe from a couple of days later. Better than just going full on during your period.

Have you thought that he might be almost infertile at this point anyway? And that's why it has worked so far?

Lweji · 19/06/2020 20:44

Because that's pretty grim and can't be much fun for either of you.

To be fair, it can be fun. Unless you only get vaginal orgasms, and aren't able to come before him. Grin

I hope you are getting the big Os, regardless, OP.

Givemestrengthorgin · 19/06/2020 20:52

Sounds like ovulation to me. Ovulation pains can be really painful uncomfortable

LookAtTheCahhOlivahhhhh · 19/06/2020 20:55

Another vote for ovulation, mine is the same.

Bellabella198765 · 20/08/2020 23:31

@itsmdhbnsu. Did you find out if you were pregnant?

onlinelinda · 21/08/2020 17:46

You need a special design of cervical cap with a retroverted uterus, or you will end up pregnant.

DrJr · 14/01/2021 23:54

It’s likely that the “cramps” you were feeling were ovulation. The surge in estrogen prior to ovulation makes your discharge mucus like, sometimes it can be really viscous, like a sticky clear blob of goo. It’s possible to feel the pain of ovulation, when the egg comes out it’s sort of like a little zit bursting slowly which can irritate the area and cause pain. I actually get this every cycle. Tho there’s not always pain, the “goo” is my little warning that i’m ovulating and should either avoid or instigate sex depending on if we don’t or do want kids ;)

TheMawisbraw · 15/01/2021 00:12

We use the same method as you and have done for years also, I was promised he would get the snip but still waiting and now it looks like waiting even longer. I also get mucus sometimes like someone above said after a bowel movement

caringcarer · 15/01/2021 00:19

If he does definitely not want any more children and contraception does not agree with you he should take responsibility and get the snip. Why would he get angry with you if a pregnancy occurs? Is he not responsible at all?

BumbleBiscuit · 15/01/2021 00:29

Using withdrawal method all the time except if dtd when I'm actually bleeding when don't withdraw

🙄🙄🙄

ZOMBIE THREAD

Thismustbelove · 15/01/2021 01:38

Its ovulation. I get it every other month. Far more than the amount you had OP as I tend to have it continuously for a day or two. Mine got heavier/bigger as I got older and after having kids. It worried me when it first started happening but now its normal for me.

MoiraRosesWig · 15/01/2021 01:44

Sounds normal to me.

Danielle2223 · 02/02/2021 09:44

Hey! Sorry to jump on here

Don’t suppose you found out what this was I’ve got the same!

I start getting cramps, gassy some time sensitive breasts two weeks before my period. My period came lasting 4 days.
4 days after my last day of my period I was still getting mild cramps I was sure I was going to come back on my period.
(Sorry tmi) I went to the bathroom convinced I started again however I had this largish jelly ball or disharge. One week later I’m still getting cramps and my breast are very tender and still very gassy.

im presuming I’m not pregnant as I had a period. But could it be that the jelly like disharge was me ovulating very close to ending my period?

sorry if non of this makes sense!!

lavenderuser · 20/03/2021 07:54

I know i'm a bit late but I've recently just started getting the same thing at 29. I believe as others have said its an ovulation sign and it's usually occurs a couple to a few days before that 2 week countdown is on. ☺️

ShopHero · 21/03/2021 16:48

I get this when I’m ovulating. Awful cramps too, worse than period pain. Never had it when younger, it’s only started in my 40s and well over having my kids.

Danielle2223 · 23/03/2021 09:40

Ahhhh thankyou!
I’m 30 and never had it before, however since I wrote this post it’s happened again. And very bad cramps. Your completely right it’s ovulation time xx
