Was just about to insert a tampon and I felt something at the ...um, opening, sort of coming from inside.
Its a soft roundish thing and it deinitely should not be there
I'm really freaking out and I know I have to got to the Doctor but I just want to be prepared so if anyone has any idea please tell me what this could be.
It doesn't hurt at all, I haven't noticed anything unusual until now.
I am really worried.

(and no, its not UCM )

any womb problems? possibly a prolapse? Think that would hurt though. Not trying to be funny but could it be a forgotton tampon? I mean, are you sure it's a bit of you?

dustystar · 30/08/2007 16:45

A varicose vein?

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 16:45

No womb problems and its def not a tampon.

Could it be your cervix? It does get quite low at times.

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 30/08/2007 16:46

gt a mirror and have a look. sounds like it could be a slight prolaspe. they dont generally hurt.

tissy · 30/08/2007 16:48

a prolapse doesn't have to be sore... think you should get it checked out! Does it have a kind of depression in the middle?

sandyballs · 30/08/2007 16:48

love the title.

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 16:48

Its actually at the opening, could the cervix get that low?

Im assuming a varicose vein would feel smaller than this (thougfh i could be wrong)the circumfrence is maybe like the size of a 50p piece?

OP posts:
WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 16:50

No depression in the middle.
I'll have a look.

I didn't know a prolapse could be painless so sounds like that might be it. Get it checked out anyway. Good luck.

imnot27 · 30/08/2007 16:51

Sometimes cervix comes really low if you're squatting or similar position . Get the mirror and have a look. Cervix is quite smooth, very round and has a little hole in it!!!

Tinker · 30/08/2007 16:52

Is anyone else doing their pelvic floor exercises reading this?

JodieG1 · 30/08/2007 16:52

Cervix can get very low, also depends on position as well.

imnot27 · 30/08/2007 16:52

Actually, could be uretha (is this the word? For the bit you pee out of? ) This is just in the entrance and if you have an infection or something it can swell up a bit, though, maybe not the size of a fifty pence piece.....

AbRoller · 30/08/2007 16:53

lol tinker

DumbledoresGirl · 30/08/2007 16:54

Definitely get a mirror and tell us what you see. How could you not have got a mirror the minute you felt something? Unless you are at work I suppose....

RGPargy · 30/08/2007 16:55

lol Tinker - i actually "pulled up" a few times as i was reading this!!

Actually, probably TMI, but it sounds similar to what i found too, but i think that it's going away with some pelvic floor stuffs and generally trying to keep it pulled up, IYSWIM.

If in doubt tho, go to the GP!

suwoo · 30/08/2007 16:57

I've got a prolapse and it sounds like one to me. Has it just appeared all of a sudden though? Have you recently had a baby?

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 17:03

Ok - this is either good news or my foof just got even freakier, but its gone!
It was there like half an hour ago, definitely, now nothing. It feels and looks normal.

I dont get it [bewildered emoticon]

OP posts:
bundle · 30/08/2007 17:03

could it be a hernia?

suwoo · 30/08/2007 17:07

OK TMI alert, but my prolapse can 'go back in' if I have been sitting down a while [vomit emoticon]

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 17:09

Really?

So i'm not 'cured' after all?
Definitely sounds like a prolapse.
What is one of them, is it bad, do i need surgery???

OP posts:
Blandmum · 30/08/2007 17:17

Depends, I think. Sometimes they can be help up by a 'ring' but long term I think that surgery is the usual option.

Given that this is MN and all that, are you sure it isn't a clove of garlic, or a slice of blue cheese or whatever???

bundle · 30/08/2007 17:18

is it a mooncup you'd forgotten to retrieve?

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 17:18

TBH MB, I'm considering all possibilities right now.
Top of my list is some sort of small burrowing creature.

A Vole perhaps?
