Anyone had a hard ganglion?

I’ve had a lump on the top of my foot for a while - thought it was a lump of bone at first but when I went to see the doctor she said she thought it was the start of a ganglion. She could move it - I thought it didn’t move and it was the tendon moving but she assured me it did.
She said to go back if it got bigger but told
Me it was 3mm - yet it felt much bigger to me so shows how much I know.
Just noticed it again tonight and I think it may have got a big bigger but hard to tell. It’s stil really hard.
Wondering about going back for a second opinion as I really thought ganglion were soft!

I got one when I was a teenager from the ridiculous amount of stuff I had to carry to school It moved up and down the bone leading to my middle left finger. My Gran tried the bible, the idea is to break up the "jelly" so it disperses. It was agony and not to be recommended. The GP injected it to make it much bigger and then hit it with a surgical "hammer". It went away for about six months, but came back bigger and better. I then had it surgically removed (under GA, this was back in the early 80's) and almost died on the operating table and have a scar on my hand. The b*er came back 7 years later. This time a new consultant with students in attendance said it had to be surgically removed but that if he made a tiny error I would be left without the use of my finger. When the appointment came, I cancelled it. The ganglion disappeared after a year or so . It sometimes returns but much smaller. I avoid lifting and carrying heavy shopping or objects with my left hand .
See the GP to get a proper diagnosis and make sure it is a ganglion. Stop doing anything that might be exacerbating strain on the joint.

Oh my goodness...I have just (with the help if Dr Google) diagnosed a ganglion cyst on the top of my toe! Not painful, but also not moveable. I'd better get it checked out I guess!

I had mine removed from my wrist when I was 18 ( 48 now) but not before my mum had whacked it with a bible 🤣 , which had about as much effect as when she told me to rub meat on my wart and bury it in the garden 🙄.
Didn’t have a name though.
