Hi just been to have a wash and noticed this red rash under both breasts. I have got sweaty today and walked a lot. Don't know if it is that. Have a appointment with GP at 10.30 tonight after calling 111. Looked on google, it has ranged from yeast infection, heat rash, shingles to cancer. worried myself now :( Has anyone else had this?

OOH isn't the place to investigate possible diabetes, or give out creams that are easily available from the pharmacy (or even the supermarket straight off the shelf).
I'd keep the rash clean and dry, stick a bit of canesten on it, cancel the OOH appointment and book a routine GP appointment.

Thank you for the messages. I have just got home, it was a fungal infection that had become infected. I have antibiotics and a double strength cream for it. He said it needed the antibiotics to clear it. Just thought I would update the thread to say what it was. Thanks again x

How did he know it was infected ?

SkintAsASkintThing · 11/05/2019 23:24

Op I keep medicated talc for stuff like this. It's really good.

SkintAsASkintThing · 11/05/2019 23:25

Floraloctopus because he's a doctor, maybe ? Hmm

floraloctopus · 11/05/2019 23:26

Very funny, just wondered what symptom made him think that.

I've had this for years, including the ooze and smell this is what works for me. Wash with soap, dry and apply anti perspirant. I use an organic one. If this fails I have some anti fungal cream which I use.

Boots sell the medicated talc

Can anyone recommend a cotton not wired support bra? I am trying not to wear one at all in the house, but need something to support when out thats not going to make this worse?

Bravissimo sorted me out, or just google non wired bras. I bought one the other day Triumph from Debenhams. Had a cancer scare a couple of years ago. The consultant told me to avoid wired bras they really are not good for some women with bigger boobs.

This is a update to how its going now. It had nearly cleared up using the steroid cream, and patting dry and airing. I have also ordered a cotton bra. Yesterday it was feeling itchy again, and redness again. I will have to start the cream again I think.

I have been told it is Intertrigo and the steroid cream has been making it worse. I have to get some medicated powder and keep it dry. Cotton tops and bras etc. Pat dry. I've also ordered some cotton Muslim squares as well to see if that helps keep it dry in the day time.

Wow, some pretty rude people on here. You can make a suggestion that someone needn’t see a doctor right away without being insulting. Get a grip… this is mumsnet for goodness sake.

How did you not realise this was a zombie thread? It said so as you postedConfused
