red rash under breasts

mrsdarcey78 · 11/05/2019 19:27

Hi just been to have a wash and noticed this red rash under both breasts. I have got sweaty today and walked a lot. Don't know if it is that. Have a appointment with GP at 10.30 tonight after calling 111. Looked on google, it has ranged from yeast infection, heat rash, shingles to cancer. worried myself now :( Has anyone else had this?

I'm certainly no doctor and I am unsure what the rash is, but for reassurance my OH had something similar to this on his back this morning after becoming hot in bed.

Perhaps it's heat? It faded and he's absolutely fine ☺️

Hope yours goes down easily too!

Have you seriously booked an out of hours emergency gp appointment for a rash that has appeared just today, even though you admit you have been hot and sweaty???

No wonder the NHS is in the state its in

Wash it, dry it well, whack some sudocrem on it and see how you go in a few days

Ps I get this often, canesten clears it up a treat

floraloctopus · 11/05/2019 20:09

Go and speak the pharmacist, they will be able to give advice and let you know if you need to see the GP. It looks like a yeast infection to me but I am not medically qualified at all.

HastaLaVistaPrint · 11/05/2019 20:11

I had exactly this, OTC anti-fungal cream sorted it out.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 11/05/2019 20:11

wash it and dry it well. talcum powder. canesten cream. cancel the gp appointment-completely unnecessary.

StandardLampski · 11/05/2019 20:13

I get this delight when I get a bit swaety ( gym , run, hot day at work. Irritating and in explainable in the sense that I'm not massively over weight- no charging per sey, and .my work is always hot and damp. I alternate really between two bras. It appears randomly, is annoying, and generally gone by next say or so. .

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 11/05/2019 20:13

Blimey you just need some canisten! Have you seriously wasted a OOH appt on that? Hmm

notapizzaeater · 11/05/2019 20:14

Wash it and bob some caniston on, if you haven't any then put some talc on. It's nothing serious

theworldistoosmall · 11/05/2019 20:15

Thrush.
I had similar dr in A&E noticed. I just thought it was a weird sweaty boob rash thing.

MrsMoastyToasty · 11/05/2019 20:15

Wash it, dry properly, put some athletes foot powder on it.

frippit · 11/05/2019 20:15

I second anti fungal cream too like canesten. Recommended by my Dr and it worked.

Hepzibar · 11/05/2019 20:16

Give me strength. Get some sudocrem on and if it doesn't clear up after a few days make an normal appointment. No wonder the NHS is is crisis

mimibunz · 11/05/2019 20:19

Make sure you wash the soap off. I had this and I hadn’t washed the soap off very well. Otherwise it’s a rash and take an antihistamine.

HastaLaVistaPrint · 11/05/2019 20:21

I tried sudocrem on this (no idea why, it’s never worked for anything I’ve tried it on) and it did nothing, but anti thrush/fungal stuff sorted it in two days.

mrsfollowill · 11/05/2019 20:21

Really!? if you have biggish boobs and have been hot and sweaty what do you expect. Cancel the appointment- have a cool shower and whack some talc on - will be gone in no time. FWIW mine look like that every day in the summer!

mrsdarcey78 · 11/05/2019 20:24

Thank you for the responses. I did forget to add I have been hot shaky and nauseous with it. I barely or rarely even go to the GP, Hopefully I will just get told to get some canestan or something like that. I called 111 and first they were saying to go a and e, then said go to the OOH. I am sorry the NHS is in crisis I really am, but I do rarely use it. sorry guys x

It's a fungus rash like thrush. Caneston or clotrimazole cream which is basically unbranded caneston is all you need. I get it when I get sweaty too

Please cancel the out of hours appointment and just get some cream from a pharmacy. By morning it will feel much better

Thatsnotmyotter · 11/05/2019 20:24

It’s heat rash or a mild fungal rash. Thai really does not require emergency medical attention. In future a rash in the absence of any other symptoms is something well within the remit of a pharmacist.

restingbitchfarce · 11/05/2019 20:25

Fungal not fungus. Stupid autocorrect Angry

floraloctopus · 11/05/2019 20:28

If you have been feeling hot, shaky and nauseous then seeing the OOH GP or a pharmacist might be worth considering.

Aquifolium · 11/05/2019 20:30

Mrs Darcey, if you called 111 first, they will have evaluated your condition in general. They decide on the basis of safety, so do keep the appointment. It is unlikely to be anything serious, but don’t feel bad about using the out of hours service.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 11/05/2019 20:31

Oh shaky! You should have said, that makes all the difference!

It’s still a bloody fungal rash.

mrsdarcey78 · 11/05/2019 20:34

Thank you. I worried when I saw it, and it had a funny musty smell, so it could well I think be a yeast type of infection. I was walking back from the pharmacy today, after having my glucose tested which was high. I have to have it done twice more, then I need to ask GP for a diabetes test. I have had thrush in my mouth which I brought canestan tablets for. I think it can also be a symptom of diabetes. I feel awful now, I barely see the doctor. I try and pay for things I need doing such as seeing a dermatologist and a ultrasound I had recently I paid for so I don't just take off the NHS :(. Thanks guys for the suggestions x

Sudocrem will sort it - you only need put a tiny amount on for a couple of days. It's just a sweat rash and you've probably had it a few days and not noticed until it became uncomfortable.

ItWentInMyEye · 11/05/2019 20:38

I get this when I've been really sweaty after the gym etc. Also it's sometimes worse if I've been wearing the same bra for a few days.
