I don't believe in vaccinations for children because after my 1st son had his mmr he was different he has recently been diagnosed with autism and there is a lot of people who say the same happened when their children were vaccinated the reason I'm asking is I'm now pregnant and was wondering have you got to have your child vaccinated Hmm

OP posts:
jinglet · 06/02/2019 21:29

Oh god, not another one- f off OP. I find you and your lot are selfish b*stards who put their own and other people's children unnecessarily at risk. You and your anti-V zealots need to read real research studies and not fake news.

ScootalooWho · 09/02/2019 11:42

Measles, whooping cough, polio, pneumococcal disease, meningacoccal (sp?) are all things that will KILL your child if exposed.

Do you really believe that exposure to these leads to death? Hysterical nonsense!

ScootalooWho · 09/02/2019 11:45

"A lot of academic research is funded through independent charities."

Untrue. Hardly any research is funded through independent charities. They just haven't got the funds needed for largescale studies.

Furrycushion · 09/02/2019 16:59

Do you really believe that exposure to these leads to death?
Yes, of course it can!

Whisky2014 · 09/02/2019 17:53

Do you really believe that exposure to these leads to death

Yes, because they do...

ScootalooWho · 09/02/2019 18:09

Furrycushion

Yes, of course it can!

Yes, I agree they CAN...but previous poster said WILL. The majority of people exposed to any of these diseases don't die.

ScootalooWho · 09/02/2019 18:10

Vaccines CAN also kill. This is an undisputed fact, no matter how rare it occurs.

Whisky2014 · 09/02/2019 18:17

Yeh, but you did write the key word there. "Rare".

RaffertyFair · 09/02/2019 18:22

ScootalooWho it's the relative degree of risk that is significant.
No one has said vaccines are risk free.

RaffertyFair · 09/02/2019 18:37

Someone crossing a road is far less likely to be hit by a car if they use a pelican crossing for example than taking a chance not at a crossing. But accidents can still happen at crossings. They are not risk free.

But imagine meeting a parent who said "I know of a child who was killed at a pelican crossing so I never use them when I have my children with me." Its completely illogical. But that is the argument many parents are giving when they cite the devastating stories of children who have catastrophic reactions to a vaccine.

This analogy doesn't touch on the damage non vaxers do unknowingly to other people in the community.

Hardyloveit · 09/02/2019 20:41

Vaccinate your children for fucks sake!!!!!

This is why all these horrible diseases are coming back!!!! What will you say to your child if they got one of them ...... oh I'm sorry child mummy doesn't believe in them and now your very poorly and may have a disability for life or even die!!! Jesus Christ!!!!

It's not just for your own child's safety but that of others who can't be vaccinated
My DD had to have them put on hold because she had cancer and it worried me so much because of people like you who choose not to vaccinate!!!

This topic really angers me!

Hardyloveit · 09/02/2019 20:45

Oh and my dd2 has an allergy to egg which the Mmr has in it (not sure if it still does) but I got the vaccine done at the hospital incase of a reaction as I knew getting vaccines was more important! She had piriton prior to the jab and was fine - we stayed in the hospital for a few hours after just incase!

WinnieTheW0rm · 09/02/2019 20:52

This may be why there have been so many threads recently:

BBC article "Russia trolls 'spreading vaccination misinformation' to create discord"

I'm not saying OP is a Russian troll. Rather that she has seen the sort of stuff they are deliberately spreading.

dinkydolphin · 09/02/2019 21:07

@ploddingonwards @amibear

We know it's really safe because it is meticulously tested again and again and again.

Vaccinations are completely safe. That's a fact.
Vaccinations do not cause autism. That's a fact.

The can of beans comparison is the stupidest thing I have ever read. Of course they know what is in a bloody vaccination compared to a can of beans. Please do not say that in real life. You will make yourself look very stupid. People shouldn't be able to procreate if they aren't intelligent enough to know the difference between food ingredients and vaccine combinations. Educate yourself for your child's sake.

anniehm · 09/02/2019 21:50

Dd is autistic, she was different from birth not 15 months when she had her mmr. She wasn't diagnosed until 2.5 but the signs were there all along we just ignored them because we didn't know any better and they are quite subtle

Ps when I had dd2 who is neurotypical, we could see clearly how different she was through baby and toddlerhood.

Mississippilessly · 21/04/2019 18:43

Why is there a thread on this every day?
Why are people so stupid?

sanityisamyth · 21/04/2019 19:02

@Mississippilessly there isn't a thread on this everyday. You have resurrected (Easter 🤣🤣🤣) a zombie thread from nearly 3 months ago.

Mississippilessly · 21/04/2019 20:46

Oh lord. Sorry!!

Yes, because even if it did give my DC autism I’d rather that than they be dead

soworriedforhim · 21/04/2019 21:02

MMR has been dissproven to have a link to Autism. I’d probably look back at your family history and see if anybody may have exhibited signs of undiagnosed autism.

Have a look at what could happen if your child catches any of the vaccinated diseases. Death being worst.

Polio is thankfully pretty much eradicated in the UK frankly, but here’s what you’d have to go through if it wasn’t via a large flux of anti vaxers causing a risk to it returning

Fridakahlofan · 21/04/2019 21:03

Please vaccinate.

BlueJag · 21/04/2019 21:14

My son got measles at age 9 months it was horrific. To this day I don't know if he is able to have children he is 34.
We also have a 13 year old fully vaccinated.
I personally wouldn't risk it specially with polio and other horrible preventable deseases.
There is ample research about vaccines and autism. Nothing supports the theory.
I'm sure you were vaccinated as a child.
