Seek medical attention for piles? WARNING: IMAGE IN OPENING POST [EDITED BY MNHQ]

I hope this is allowed
There's nothing more than the actual pile in the picture so no nudity
I've had piles since pregnancy 4 years ago
Never really caused me any problems, tonight when sitting on the toilet they felt quite a lot more prominent so I took this picture to check. And they appear to be coming from inside? (As opposed to the front one that seems exterior)
I'm sure you'll all say go to a dr, but is there anything I can do myself?

Sit on a bag of peas wrapped in a towel to reduce swelling then preparation H internally and externally. Do everything you can to prevent constipation. See GP when you can get an appointment

LilyMumsnet · 19/12/2018 20:56

OP, we're just adding a little warning to your title. Hope you get some advice soon. Flowers

hugoagogo · 19/12/2018 21:01

Jesus Christ in a bike!Shock

Batshittery · 19/12/2018 21:02

That looks pretty sore OP. Doctors I think.

CottonTailRabbit · 19/12/2018 21:02

Push em back in ever so gently.

Batshittery · 19/12/2018 21:03

The warning from MN made me click on the thread out of nosiness. Mistake Shock

elvislives2012 · 19/12/2018 21:04

WhoTookTheChristmasCookie · 19/12/2018 21:05

Jesus H Christ and all his merry men Shock

Get to the GP!

Believeitornot · 19/12/2018 21:07

Take care of your diet. Loads of water, fruit and veg etc. Lots of fibre.

Don’t strain, go when you need to

Try anusol and speak to the GP!

AlaskanSnow · 19/12/2018 21:08

GP for some steroid cream. I had horrific ones after pregnancy, but this sorted it out eventually

Hassled · 19/12/2018 21:08

When MNHQ give a warning I really need to start heeding the warning and stop clicking in a gung-ho it'll-be'fine sort of way. Dear lord that looks awful. I wish I had some sensible advice - but please just go to the GP.

CaroloftheBalls · 19/12/2018 21:09

They’re going to need surgery. I would book an appointment for the GP as soon as possible.

BettyOBarley · 19/12/2018 21:10

I had similar if not worse after DC2 and Anusol sorted them out. You poor thing, it's so painful Flowers

Shirleyphallus · 19/12/2018 21:12

Another that only clicked on the pic because of the MN warning

This looks sooo sore OP

Do lots of people get these in pregnancy like this?

hugoagogo · 19/12/2018 21:12

It occurs to me I don't actually know what a normal adult bumhole looks like.

DO NOT POST A PICTURE!

Pileofproblems · 19/12/2018 21:55

Thanks everyone.
It's not sore at all, I'm not and am never constipated, they do push back in but they just don't stay there.
Posting a picture of my arsehole online. New high for me

yerdadsellsavon · 19/12/2018 22:00

FannyFifer · 19/12/2018 23:17

Jeez op, get that arse to the GP ASAP.

TheOriginalFactoryMum · 19/12/2018 23:21

There isn’t surgery available on the NHS now for piles. So it’s a waste of time going to a GP as they will just give DIY advice as other people have or you can google...

MrsHares17 · 19/12/2018 23:25

Mine were like that straight after having my ds.
I used anusol cream and the nozzle bit to get inside Blush took a few weeks to settle back down.
Also toilet wipes rather than paper helped loads, as well as warm baths.
Definitely see gp as soon as you can Thanks

Fanjita1 · 19/12/2018 23:27

Share your pain. Had to get the OP in the end here. Gotta love the joys of pregnancy eh!? Pop them in, then insert a germaloid tab for a few days. See if they shrink. And do not try any herbal remedies! I can assure you that garlic is the work of the devil. Yes, i was that desperate....

MissTulipan · 20/12/2018 06:53

Scheriproct cream from the GP may help. Banding is offered on NHS.

flumpybear · 20/12/2018 07:15

Anusol I believe doesn't do anything to make the piles better. See your GP - I work in gastro and they're always seeing people with piles and doing operations / banding etc in this 'region' nobody bats an eyelid about seeing bottoms, inside or outside
*I'm not a medical doctor by the way

WanderingTrolley1 · 20/12/2018 07:21

What a lovely hair-free arse you have...

Ahem. Sorry.
