Tried the hot flannel in a mug trick (feels great) but the pain comes back as soon as it cools :(

Anyone else have any home remedies? I can't even hear out the eat- it's so blocked up😩

Good luck with the walk in centre. Hope they can sort it for you 💐

Can you get an out of hours appointment via 111?

You really have my sympathy. Ear ache is a bitch

Lwmommy · 08/12/2018 07:57

I had this the other week, ended up calling 111 on a Sunday morning and getting an out of hours appt at the walk in centre. Dr took a very quick look in my ear, said "yep, yellow discharge, you get antibiotics". It started to feel better on the 2nd day and was completely better within 4 days.

@letsdolunch321 thank you, I'm there now- it's not too busy thankfully! I'm going to beg for antibiotics😂 painkillers didn't even touch it last night. X

@Lwmommy I'm so glad for you! That sounds promising, hopefully if I get some antibiotics I'll be feeling better once the weekend is over🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I'm at the walk in centre right now.

I am pleased to announce the doctor gave me an antibiotic steroid ear spray so I can (hopefully!) stop suffering now! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😃

That's good. Get well soon Thanks

Is it really safe to put tea tree oil in your ear? Does it have to be diluted?

Polarbearflavour · 12/12/2018 08:00

I’ve been using vinegar in my ear, rubbing it around the sore skin. GP said I have eczema which keeps getting infected and recommended Vaseline which was no help.

prampushingdownthehighst · 12/12/2018 08:05

Please please don't put anything in your ear, go to a doctor and let them decide.

prampushingdownthehighst · 12/12/2018 08:06

Doh!!
Didn't read your update
Get well soon Flowers

adoggymum · 12/12/2018 17:57

@prampushingdownthehighst don't worry, I won't be putting anything in my ears ever again! I've just been using the spray prescribed and the pain is basically gone now- though the ear is still inflamed inside but much better.

Thank you!🌸
