just trying to upload it now. it looks hideous tbh. she keeps popping it in and out. yuk!!

she isnt in a huge amount of pain ,so the nurse and doc were quite shocked when she showed them it.

she had fun in xray, she was very good actually. little star.

liquidclocks · 10/05/2007 20:42

OMG, did no-one at nursery notice? - bless her! Thank goodness it's not painful for her.

pucca · 10/05/2007 20:44

Your poor dd!

Terrible that the nursery didn;t notice

Just out of interest, who is that woman with the glasses on in your profile?

liquidclocks · 10/05/2007 20:45

btw misdee - would encourage her not to pop it in and out to much, no good for the joint...

How on earth didn't they notice...?

whomovedmychocolate · 10/05/2007 20:45

Is she hypermobile? I am and I'm always blooming dislocating bits of me. My DD is the same too. It's worth finding out if you don't know because kids often are diagnosed with dyspraxia because they are clumsy when they are actually hypermobile.

Poor thing (your kids are very lovely though).

misdee · 10/05/2007 20:45

pic on my mobule, cant upload.

she says she told nursery her thumb hurt but they didnt lstenm with their ears.

dde1 is very flexiable, when dd2 saw physio they said she was hyperflexiable but was also very tense. so i guess this could happen again.

Misdee - get thee to an osteopath! Seriously if she starts to have lots of accidents, go to an osteopath and the rebalance the child (don't ask me I think osteopathy is complete tosh but it did fix me).

liquidclocks · 10/05/2007 20:55

If that were DS I'd be having words with the nursery manager - the staff should always listen to a child that says something's hurting! grr.

love the 'didn't listen with their ears' though, implies she think they might have listened with another part of their anatomy?

misdee · 10/05/2007 20:59

she is a funny little girl, and tbh she didnt tell us for over 2hours after coming home.

will be having more words with the nursery and asking them to keep an eye on her. she does make life interesting lol.

Honestly, I would be having WORDS with them! LOL at your dd's 'didn't listen with their ears', that's hilarious. I hurt my index finger on the swings in first school and the dinnerladies told me to stop fussing . Mum took me to casualty straight after picking me up as I was crying, and it was broken!!

sadiemcgrady · 10/05/2007 21:08

A bit scary looking!

Poor DD

misdee · 10/05/2007 21:10

oh she is fine sadie, honestly, saw it as a big BIG adventure, she was very pleased to see her bones on screen.

i cant belive she has never done this before now tbh, she is very clumsey and 'bouncey' so was expecting to take her to a+e long before now for this sort of thing.

my son dislocated his toe on monday night he was in pain i just picked him up to give him a cuddle thinking he just banged it saw it sticking up and pushed it down into place then realised what i had done and felt sick. then took him to A&E they made us wait 4hours then as he asleep as it was 1.30AM they said bring him back tomorrow if he still in pain. i did as he couldnt walk on it they made us wait again for 2hours then would not even look at it told me to give him calpol.
he still cant walk ontoes he walks straight legged on his heel so i am off to docs to demand they x-ray it

sorry i ranting just had to get it off my chest

well I guess it was about time for a hospital visit Misdee-prob not been for at least 24hrs!

fireflyfairy2 · 10/05/2007 22:40

My nephew fell on Friday at his friends house & cried with a sore arm.

My sister took him to A&E on Friday night & they made him wriggle his fingers etc & said it wasn't broken. They refused her request for an X-ray saying if it was broken he would not be able to move it.

He cried all Friday night in pain when my sis was on night shift at work. The nurse in work told her that nephews arm could still be broken even though he was able to move it about.

So on Saturday morning sis took nephew back to hosp again & asked for an X-ray. Again she was told it was not necessary to X-ray as he was able to move his arm & wasn't distressed at that time.

Anyway, he cried all day saying his arm hurt & he couldn't lift it when sis tried to dress him etc. BIL took him to A&E at 4pm. He demanded to be X-rayed. Finally X-rayed at 9pm. He has a fractured shoulder & a broken arm The poor wee pet was in agony & none of the doctors took them seriously.

Your dd's thumb is scary looking.. your girls are adorable

misdee · 10/05/2007 22:41

we do like to average one a week for someone lol.
