Peter in pain but wont go to hospital

he says they wont do anything. i think with that attitude they wont, he needs to be seen. he isnt living, just exsisting.

I agree with phoning yourself, saying they need tor ecord your call and how the stress is affecting him

Another tick in the box for theother hospital surely, if Harefield making him feel like this?

the journey is horrible for him.

edam, we have tried so many times to explain it over the phone. he needs to get the VAd removed to stopped the pain .the pain is caused by pressur on his back as he cant sit properly, lie properly, walk etc as well as the internal VAD pain.

the only way this is going to go away is if the phone rings.

we are looking to see if hypnotherepy will work. cant do acupunture as he will bleed. they cant up or change painkillersd anymore without admitting him to hospital to keep an eye on side effects. and he wont go in

he can in theory be placed on the transplant list as urgent on LVAD but thats entirly up to his consultant. and she wont do it.

I thought an LVAD bought some time and allowed you to go home but it was still neccessary to have a transplant.
Where is he on the list??

apparently he is prioty on the normal list for a suitable organ.

they did owe two hearts back into the system as they have had several urgent cases this year.

any chance accupressure could help? Its like accupuncture but you use fingertip pressure not needles?

Sorry to hear how bad things are. Could you not visit the mumsnetter who offered a break - you might strike up a friendship and feel happy to leave the children for a short time in the future?

It's shite that he has to get worse to have more chance to get a transplant. I suppose it's quite lucky that he was able to have the LVAD tho.

yes he was lucky that it saved his life, as hre was on the urgent list in the week before it and was close to dying.

Oh misdee; the whole system seems so unfair. I can't believe he is denied the urgent list just because his hospital has already had some hearts already. That seems so wrong!

I really hope you get the call soon.
