Have just lost a stone ish on WW and felt compelled to change my habits to prevent the weight creeping on and to try and improve health etc too...
Have read ti and bought a few bizarre supplements and things, to see how it goes...
Has anyone else given it a go or doing it too?
The lady at Holland And Barrett said it had done wonders for their business!!

So what do the seeds taste like then ?? Really can't get my head around eating handfuls of seeds at all.
Oh and also the drinking warm water in the morning. Surely that tastes foul. Can u put anything in it ??

My brother thinks loads of herbal teas and i think they are all awful.

I think i'd be crap at it

Pumpkin seeds are not too exciting but sunflower seeds are OK. Not tried any others yet (still waiting for book to arrive)

nutcracker, slice of lemon in warm water in the morning... it's actually really nice.
I have recently started this (my first attempt at dietary change!)and it's much more refreshing than tea/coffee (which is just a habit generally)

I'm not taking any supplements - too expensive! And I can never remember to take them. I do find that my palate is changing though. I had an argument with dh last night because I made broccoli soup from her book and he thought it was completely tasteless whereas i thought it was quite nice! And I love pumpkin seeds - very moreish. Try some nettle or gingko biloba tea in the morning as well. I don't try the warm water with lemon. Part of me is worried about my tooth enamel.

dunno if any of you have seen the book called 'the food doctor diet' by Ian Marber, I think. He takes a similar view on nutrition, quinoa, seeds etc but I found his book much more useful, in a different way. I just got her book yesterday & it's interesting to read about certain ailments/symptoms & which foods/supplements to remedy them. He's not so hard line as her - eg she's totally against drinking tap water & eating non-organic but he's not so.

But I think his approach is easier to fit into everyday life. eg he doesn't ban alcohol but says which is better/worse to drink how often etc. He also touches on the food combining, but in a ,much simpler and easier to follow way. He gives a hige list of suggestions for each meal & snack time & his book also has loads of recepies in. I made tabouleh with quinoa, one of his recipes, last night & dh loved it, I did to much to my surprise & we both feel better today..

Watching the programme & looking at her book has given me a fresh boost of motivation, but for a good cookery book, excellent health advice that's easier to fit into every day life, I'd definitely recommend the food doctor over hers, I think it's published by dorling kingley (sp?) and I think he's got a few out targetting different prob (eg libido) but I've not seen them./ This book is great though

for the sake of seeming obsessive - well i am - I've just looked & he's got a web site. You can preview the book I mentioned, but I've also just seen he's just prodiced one for kids
