Its my appointment tomorrow and I am becoming more and more nervous. I really want to have it done just to see what its like but am scared of something going wrong and having to wear sunglasses for the next 4 months.

Spoke to one of my (medical) lecturers today who bandied on about there having been no randomised clinical trials

Oh I dont know what to do, if I dont go I will wish I had but just want it to be ok

mosschops30 · 24/04/2007 17:57

maybe zippi, I suppose if you think you look better then you will, but I imagine some people prefer their face back to normal and never have it again

do people still do those big lips or is that out of fashion now?

beckybrastraps · 24/04/2007 17:58

Really?

You can't frown?

mosschops30 · 24/04/2007 17:58

not for me, my lips are fine

Whoooosh · 24/04/2007 17:58

BTW-don't panic if you don't notice anything immediately. It is two weeks today since I had mine done and I can see the difference.
I can still frown but the furrows are thinning.

Ignore the doom-mongerers-if you want it and feel you need it or it will make you feel better then go for it.

mosschops30 · 24/04/2007 17:59

no becky the muscle is paralysed so you cant frown

mosschops30 · 24/04/2007 17:59

have it have it have it! and then come back and let me know how well it's worked!

Whoooosh · 24/04/2007 17:59

Botox is definitely not for lips-you'd be talking like a ventriloquist dummy

beckybrastraps · 24/04/2007 18:02

Don't you worry you'll look a bit, I don't know, bland?

You might want to frown. I'm frowning now just tryong to make sense of it all, and I shall certainly frown when I tell dh about it later. A look conveys a thousand words and all that.

You see...

zippitippitoes · 24/04/2007 18:04

well how old are you to want this?

jalopy · 24/04/2007 18:06

Mosschops, how will you be able to give your kids 'the look' if your frown is eradicated?

How paralysed exactly? No frowning at all? Or just diminished capacity?

Sorry - I'm not having a go. Just really, really curious!

zippitippitoes · 24/04/2007 18:12

I'd rather have a holiday then

I did think the woman who does the scary quiz looked better after her facelift but she looks just the same as she used to now

electra · 24/04/2007 18:14

Go for it - as long as you are going to someone good there's no need to worry Otherwise you will always wonder about it.

Idreamofdaleks · 24/04/2007 18:14
