To visit the walk in centre?

The top of my bumcrack has a small white/flesh coloured spot on it and although it looks insignificant, it is stinging like mad and I can barely sit. AIBU to go to the walk in centre? I can't take a minute more of this and what's worse is that I am on my period :(

No. It doesn't. People see blood in their stool for all sorts of reasons. Since you had weeks of stomach upsets it's reasonable to assume it's the after effects of a fissure. Hyping yourself up does nothing to help the situation.

Did you not read the part where I said I was now bleeding? How am I then being pathetic?

sienna honestly bleeding in bowel movement can be piles or scratched in the area which is likely in your sleep as you are anxious. Gp first thing tomorrow please no arguments. This is to address your anxiety.

U2 so sorry you went through that but thank you so much for sharing. If it didnt help the Op yet then it actually really helped me. Im not as bad as the op but i often worry I will have HA forever. X

Someone told me it's a waste of time going to the walk in centre with this, is it?

It may not be a waste of your time, but it's certainly a waste of theirs, when there are people with actual illnesses that need to be seen. Don't be so silly.

OP This is ridiculous. You're driving yourself absolutely crazy with something that I'm pressuring sure is a scratch/fissure/pile/something absolutely not serious at all.
It is clear though that you're health anxiety is very severe indeed and that is what you need help with, from your GP, first thing tomorrow.

Did you not all see the post where I said I am now bleeding?

People saw it and highlighted the multitude of relatively innocent explanations. Did you not read those posts?

She isn't being silly, tinysheep, or pathetic - please don't be so unkind. Health anxiety is a horrible, life-altering thing. Did you not read U2HastheEdge's posts?

I suffered with it much the same. 'Snapping out of it' was what I wanted more than anything in the world. I couldn't of course. I was ill with it - mentally ill.

Sienna333, I know nothing I can say will convince you it's not cancer, at this point. Make an urgent doctor's appointment first thing tomorrow - if that's possible this days - be honest with the gatekeepers of appointments about how desperate you feel - and be honest with the doctor when you see them. Whatever they say about the spot/bleeding, please please tell them that you are ill with your mental state - got into a spiral you can't get out of - desperate with anxiety. They will have seen it before and will understand, if you make it clear how much this is preoccupying you and making you ill with panic.

She is being utterly ridiculous, and attention-seeking, and you pandering to her silly behaviour is not going to help anyone.

Yes we all saw where you said you're now bleeding. I've had bleeding with bowel movements this week, because I had a chest infection, had become dehydrated leading to constipation. So I most likely had a small internal tear based on the general constipation discomfort and searing pain when on the loo! At no point did I think I'd rectal cancer, at most I actually thought I maybe had some external piles but I don't. And I can be very anxious re health but really when you hear hooves think horses, not zebras. Your descriptions of a miniscule white bump nowhere near your anus cannot be anal cancer, and one instance of rectal bleeding in no way suggests cancer either.

It's not "possible these days" because people displaying attention-seeking behaviour are taking all the appointments from people who actually need them. People like this are why nobody can get a doctor's appointment.

She's got a scratch on her arse, for god's sake.

I am glad you find bleeding insignificant Tinysheep.

I think I will have to go to the walk in centre for the bleeding.

Bleeding fresh red blood is not a sign of cancer, it's usually a sign of piles or a small tear. I've had bowel cancer, and didn't bleed. I didn't experience any of your symptoms either. I'm not going to engage with you about his. Please see your GP regarding your health anxiety.

I've had bleeding before.I'd burst a blood vessel straining. Is the blood bright red?

Report
spidey66 · 03/12/2017 10:14

Or are you sure the blood's nothing to do with your period?

Report
Sienna333 · 03/12/2017 10:14

Looked like period blood, Yes. God I am scared.

Off to walk in centre now.

Why are you engaging with her about this?
She's clearly enjoying the attention.

You mentioned in your first couple of posts that you were on your period, is it possible that maybe it's actually just a little bit of period blood?

I have had severe health anxiety, I know how you feel but if you want to feel better my lovely you have to help yourself by listening to what people are saying to you x

Given you are in a state of high anxiety and thought you had a spot that no-one else could see and you're on your period and wear pads, is it not possible that the blood wasn't from your anus?

Report
Sienna333 · 03/12/2017 10:16

No I am at the end of my period now so just very light brown discharge (Sorry). This was like period blood mixed in with the poo
