I'm so fed up of my health I am never ever going a week without being sick. I have nerve damage in my back from a nephrostomy.
I am now unable to breathe properly disorientated and slept since 11am I don't know where to post
I phoned 111 and no doc available I can't get to hospital and they have sent an ambulance I am so fed up and scared. I think I have an infection but I am so confused

I think you need to call 999 or at least 111 again

dissapointedafternoon · 16/11/2017 20:17

They told me to call 999 and chase it up
I have no energy

SavageBeauty73 · 16/11/2017 20:18

Your husband needs to chase it up.

RainbowInACloud · 16/11/2017 20:18

Can your husband drive you now he's home to a walk on centre or out of hours? Avoids the A&E wait.

MummySparkle · 16/11/2017 20:21

Handhold here OP. Call 999 again to chase it up. You need to be seen.

dissapointedafternoon · 16/11/2017 20:29

Apparently there are loads of critical calls and I am not allowed to cancel an ambulance!!!
I have been waiting 4.5 hours
I am so cross. They are deffinately seeing a load of people who have done stupid things.
I'm in a lot of pain and don't want to sit in a hard backed chair in a sterile and bright environment

OP posts:
dissapointedafternoon · 16/11/2017 20:30

They are mad to think I would sit alone in a cold waiting room for at least three hours if I have a bed and heating at home?????
Their policy is a load of shit. So I can't cancel.
They want me to get a taxi there a lone but I can't go anywhere alone!! Are they insane

Why can’t your husband or FIL go with you ?

dissapointedafternoon · 16/11/2017 21:05

He is going away tonight with his wife
My husband needs to stay with our baby
I am not sitting in a waiting room for two hours
I'll pick it up tomorrow. Night night and thank you all

What, are you just going to turn the anbulance away when it gets there then?Confused

Battleax · 16/11/2017 21:13

I don't understand.

Fairybella · 16/11/2017 21:14

I️ hope u are ok

KitKat1985 · 16/11/2017 21:17

Could you get a taxi or a friend / family member to take you to get checked out? May be quicker than a non-emergency ambulance.

Bubblebubblepop · 16/11/2017 21:19

I don't understand why you would wait 4 hours rather than get a taxi? No wonder they're not prioritising you

Battleax · 16/11/2017 21:20

Is it the waiting room at A and E you're dead against?

If you're ill you need to be seen.

Bubblebubblepop · 16/11/2017 21:20

To be fair though, the emergency services who triaged her don't think it's that urgent. Don't know why sepesis is suggested every time someone is poorly either?

KitKat1985 · 16/11/2017 21:23

Sorry, just seen your recent update. I'm also confused. You need to decide if you need to be seen tonight or not. You can't just turn the ambulance away when it turns up because you don't want to sit in a waiting room.

Ollivander84 · 16/11/2017 21:23

Going via ambulance doesn't mean you will skip the waiting room. They will triage you and you may have to wait in the waiting room as normal

Gazelda · 16/11/2017 21:24

OP, I’m sorry your health has been so poor lately.
But unless I’m misreading your posts, it seems as though you don’t feel ill enough to go to hospital, but want emergency staff to do a home visit instead.
I hope you’re soon feeling better.

blueskydreams · 16/11/2017 21:26

I'm a bit confused too

Bubblebubblepop · 16/11/2017 21:29

Looks like OP has gone to bed anyway. Too tired from waiting for an ambulance for hours with only 2 people to look after her Confused

PunkrockerGirl59 · 16/11/2017 21:33

If you turn that ambulance away because you don't fancy a two hour wait in A&E then you should be ashamed of yourself. The way you've rallied and said 'night night and thank you all' and you'll pick it up in the morning suggests that you're going to go to have a nice sleep. I hope you are moving heaven and earth to cancel that ambulance. Somehow I doubt it.

dissapointedafternoon · 16/11/2017 22:21

I've been seen. The doctor is coming within one hour to see me.
I don't have the signs of sepsis thank god. They think it's a kidney infection.
Thank you everyone

OP posts:
dissapointedafternoon · 16/11/2017 22:27

I wasn't turning the ambulance away but it was almost 7 hours to be seen because I said I was against an ambulance and wanted to just speak to a doctor.
There have been serious incidents in the area tonight which delayed them.
I wasn't going to move heaven and earth but cheers for that. I was saying I called to ask for more assistance as I was feeling worse and then they said that I should get a taxi to the hospital. There is a three hour wait and I am in excruciating pain. Sitting in a waiting room is not conducive to my healing. I was frustrated that it took so long.
I don't have two people to look after me. My FIL is gone and my husband must stay with our son who is 19 months old. Taking him to hospital is not appropriate. I've been in hospital enough times to know it stresses out a baby.

Some people love to shoot the gun without knowing what they are shooting at.

I am chronically ill, liable to serious infections, do not have a temperature and I only ever vomit and sweat when I have these (which I do)
So the ambulance crew have checked my vitals. My blood pressure is high for me so it's not sepsis.
I am very glad they came.

It's normal to be upset if you wait 7 hours and someone on the phone tells you to take a taxi alone when you can't even walk!!!
