you sound like you're doing really well esbee

I'm glad the school seem to be supporting you - let's hope the social worker can come up with a plan to get you (and ds) some extra help.

If he starts looking worse tonight, you can call for an out of hours GP to do a home visit.

pinkchampagne · 31/03/2007 22:13

I really hope they can provide you with some help, essbee. It is so much for you to try & deal with on your own, I really don't know how you do it.

I really don't know what to suggest re the drinking, but I hope you find a way of getting some fluid in him soon.

JodieG1 · 31/03/2007 22:16

I hope things improve, essbee.
Are you still on MSN?

bubblicious · 31/03/2007 22:23

am watching this essbeebarmy and thinking of you big time!

SisterOfSoapbox · 31/03/2007 22:23

Not sure if this is any help to you but in Germany doctors actually recommend flat coca-cola for diarrhoea. Not the diet stuff - the ordinary stuff with sugar in. You can add a pinch of sugar to take the fizz out of it. Might be worth a try.

Hope he is feeling better soon.

foxinsocks · 31/03/2007 22:24

Keep an eye on him essbee and call as soon as you are worried (and insist on the home visit because there's really no other way to get him seen and they WILL do them if you insist).

Have you had any dealings with the social workers before? I wonder if it's worth writing a list (for yourself, because sometimes it's hard to recall everything when put on the spot!) of what is happening with his behaviour and how it's affecting your and dd's lives.

Hope SS can provide you with some help & support, essbee. It must be harder than hard for you.

Hope DS does improve. Keep an eye overnight & if you are still concerned in the morning, contact a doctor.

Thinking of you.x

foxinsocks · 31/03/2007 22:42

it's good to vent I think!

pinkchampagne · 01/04/2007 09:41

I feel for you ds was ill all last week with sickness and diarrhoea. At one point NHS direct called him an ambulance because they were concerned he was very dehydrated.

Have you tried dyralite? (spelling might be wrong) GP prescribed it and although I had to mix it with other drinks which you are not supposed to do it did the trick with ds and seemed to clear up the vomitting/diarrhoea.

I hope he is better soon.

well done essbee - lemonade's good!

Yes, I would agree with you - if he's capable of causing havoc, then he's probably on the mend!

Fingers crossed for the visit tomorrow.

pinkchampagne · 01/04/2007 21:35

Fingers crossed that DS is on the mend now, essbee!
