Pleased you've been seen, please remember urgent care is there if you can't get the pain under control.

Dentist's are limited what pain relief they can give (something legal I think) but my GP has always prescribed painkillers for tooth problems when needed.

Yes it was dry socket .

I hope you managed even a couple of hours of sleep. You could try and get in at the gp for stronger painkillers today. Mine prescribed naproxen and strong Co-codamol, but the ice packs and clove oil in the packing and on the gum worked best. The intensity of the pain should wear off in the next couple of days.

I think dry socket is more painful than childbirth! Hope you feel better soon.

I must be a right wuss. I can't remember the name of them but my GP prescribed some post operation strength ones.

I was crying Blush and that was abscess (I looked part chipmunk) dry sockets supposed to be worse.

I have had 4 DC, two of them c-sections, knee dislocations, knee surgery and cervical surgery. None of those compare to toothache.

Hope you've had some sleep Flowers

Ah thanks everyone I slept for four hours last night and although toothache still here so much more bearable today . Feeling so much happier thanks for the support.
Yes childbirth was a doddle after this I even felt like taking all the pills at one point. It's horrible .
