For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

Sorry everyone's feeling rubbish. I had a bit of a moan to dp last night and I feel a bit lighter today. Am planning to make a tuna pilaf thingy for dinner, with courgettes, beans, and anything else I think might go well with it

Didn't have any prunes Franny but am just eating some dried apricots. My exercise so far today has been kicking a ball outside with ds...

well I had the flu jab this morning and am feeling so totally like shite that dp has taken the fillychildren to the funky friday crapola thing at david lloyd

tracyk-its £100 round here...actually might be slightly more. We pay that because it is far and away the best place locally if you have kids. Nowhere else really even puts anything on for them. Also I can walk to it, which makes a big difference. If the kids were older and if they went to school, I'd prob go for something much cheaper, esp as I don't really go for swimming. Actually, for the amount I'm paying I could probably get an extension and a set of mahcines . But I think its important for my kids to see us exercising and for it to be fun and blah (come from a loooong line of the clinically obese) so, thats my justification. Their hot drinks are really, really shocking though, they should just stick a nescafe in or something, costa's finest handground beans my arse.
