What Can I use for dry sore skin on my face?

It's not liking the cold and wind. not helped by recent hormonal spurt when I had a rare period (implant). My face is sore and stingy, my lips are cracked in the corner, my eyes are sore. When my back is sore like this, or my feet are sore, I have a soak in the bath or a hot shower.

Does heat work? Anything else that I can use to ease the soreness? I am using vaseline every day for my lips and while they are less dry, they are a still peeling a little and the deep crack to one side bleeds when I eat (ouch).

What do you recommend - either for a day to day moisturiser, a 'routine' or some amazing anecdote of something organic that might be in my fridge that might work in an instant. I don't know, porridge and honey or something mixed in a paste with a bit of old courgette or something...

I am drinking more water/liquids. So that's not the problem.

dontellfred that made me laugh! You could mush it up into a paste and smear it? I would suggest not snorting. That would be hard to explain and I can imagine it would hurt a lot! I snorted some salt water once to sort out sinuses, that was an experience I can tell you.

I didn't do it last night, the vit e thing, due to being unable to move in bed with bad back. But my skin still looks good, it sort of feels like it is glowing!! And feels less rough and red,sco it has definitely worked, even that once. I shall do it again tonight.
