Name changed for obvious reasons.

I had a minor gynae op four weeks ago. All is well with that, all bleeding from it stopped some time ago. I now have a horrible discharge, had it for about 5 days. It is like a very heavy period in flow, but is pale pinky yellow in colour and watery.

The worst thing is (embarrassed) is that is really stinks. Horrible rotten meat smell. It's almost like pus. I can't have pus dripping from there can I?

I called the dr surgery and spoke to the triage nurse FridY and have an appointment tomorrow for a swab. But I will have to do the swab myself in the loo, no way am I having some poor cow go anywhere near me in this state.

I have a period like pain as well.

Pus-y pussy. Fucking marvellous.

Relieved to hear you're ok. Hope you feel better quickly. Sleep well Flowers

Good news.

Hope you told her to read MN.

And that you follow her instructions. Don't put it off if you do feel worse, please, I nearly lost a dear friend that way last autumn.

So pleased to hear this Gary, hopefully you and your yoni are feeling better this morning.

Did OOH GP send you to straight to hospital when they called back or did you have to see them first?

Also, think it might be an idea to contact your GP today to let them know what has happened - from what you have told us, the Practice Nurse would appear to have given you incorrect advice on Friday.

Moral of this story: stinkiness from anywhere that does not normally stink = infection until proven otherwise. Stinkiness + feeling unwell = serious infection (especially if there has been recent surgery) and needs urgent assessment.

Thanks < ---- (fragrant)

Yes, I quite agree with BoreOfWhabylon. Woe betide the practice nurse who doesn't pay due regard to the whiffy yoni.

Although OOH / the hospital should notify your GP I would do that yourself.

Hope you are feeling better today.
