Hello, Can I join in please?

I am on day 3 of not smoking. I'm not on NRT am instead just dealing with each craving as it comes.

Chest is wheezy and I'm not sleeping very well.

Horrible stupid fags.

McHappyPants2012 · 05/01/2012 16:48

welcome to the thread shirley and well done.

day 5, and my chest feels alittle easier today and still not smoked...this is the longest i have ever done it, going out for a drink tomorrow night which will be another test of will

Shirley, I'm very impressed you can be so funny on other threads and it's only day 3 for you! I lost my sense of humour for at least 3 months!

I just want to encourage everyone because I have a horrible cold and cough which I know would have been 100 times worse if I'd still been smoking. Another benefit of being a non-smoker!

Keep it up, lasses Smile

Blush

Thanks Tall.

I feel weirdly OK - I really don't understand it. I was smoking about 10 a day (average) so shouldn't I be champing at the bit more? I'm not complaining though! Just a bit worried that I'm going to suddenly feel AWFUL and cave in.

Hmm

Hi how is everyone doing, tomorrow I am doing a roast dinner to celebrate 1 week :)

Hey mchappy!

How you doing? Still not smoked here and had some pretty major dental surgery on Saturday so have no desire to smoke whatsoever (and am informed that if I was a smoker I would be having to not for two weeks anyway - uh, that didn't really make sense, sorry it's all the drugs I'm on!)

Wheres everyone else?

McHappyPants2012 · 09/01/2012 14:14

still not smoking, really could though atm. My fil is in hospital and old neighbour passed away and dd has fell down the stairs. But said to myself smoking will not make it easier

So sorry McHappy Sad but you're right, smoking doesn't make any of it easier.

I remember dealing with a horrible crisis and it was only afterwards when dd remarked that I'd done it all without a fag that I realised it was quite an achievement!

Will anyone in their last few hours on this planet wish they'd smoked more cigarettes? I don't think so. Keep up the good work, everyone Smile

McHappyPants2012 · 09/01/2012 20:32

Have tried and failed so many times to give up smoking, but I know if I am going to give up successfully I need to WANT to, and you know what, I do want to, so I have set next Monday 16th January as the day I become a non-smoker, going to go cold turkey :)

Good luck to everyone who is now a non-smoker, keep it up!

McHappyPants2012 · 10/01/2012 23:07
