OK... so I was told this AM by DD's teacher that this is what she is suffering from.... she went to bed last night and complained until midnight of a VERY VERY itchy bottom. She finally fell asleep and feels fine this AM....
Any experience, words of wisdom? I am not keen to get these tablets I was told to buy, any other suggestions? Is it the only way to get rid of them etc ?
Thank you

papain can also cause skin irritation and allergic reactions, so I would be very wary of calling it harmless.

I used to work on a pharamacetical preparation of apin , and it soemtimes caused anaphylactic reactions

Well we are trating her with homeopathy... we'll see if it works.... she is still asleep...... cross fingers.......

Miaou and Gloworm... looks like CINA may have worked as she has not had a problem at all last night... fingers crossed.
I am glad I didn't have to use the tablets.
DD has never had any medication (and I know this is not for everyone) but whenever she is a tad unwell she gets better quickly without anything. I feel we are working on her immune system to fight problems. She is back at school this AM, spirits high

That's good to hear pupuce. I presume you are backing it up with the handwashing/nailscrubbing/bedclothes washing/vaccing - it's such a pain but we had a return because I wasn't vigilant enough .

Well we've washed her bedding and pyjamas and she washes her hands but we seem clear again tonight (we hoover regularely). I am so pleased it's work so well! Thanks!

pupace, how is the homeopathy working out?

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 14/12/2006 02:05

you can grapefruit seed extract from here. this is where we get ours from. we use it for everything - disenfectant, in shampoo, in my face wash and shower gel, thrush, athletes foot you name it! its just over £12 but for a big 100ml bottle and as we use it a lot it works out cheaper to buy the bigger bottles. it lasts ages cos you only have to add a few drops to water. grapefruit seed extract
