I told you saf, my mum got DD a pack of knickers for christmas and I am not even entertaining the idea of potty training yet.

Everyone thinks they know best, DS was 3 and a half nearly when he got out of nappies and as a result went straight to being dry all day and all night. Like you said, it was almost too easy. Apart from the months of pointed remarks and looks. Fuck'em.

nighttime - dd1 has only been dry for about a year and a half i think and shes nearly 6!

You should just wait and watch as you are doing, they're ready when they're ready. Boys are often later anyway. Bribes won't work, its when their bodies are ready. Tell her to f off Grin

Morning everyone, well got weighed last night and am a couple of pound lighter than I thought, now officialy weigh 12st 4lb (a virtual whale in comparison with the rest of ye:)), translated into pounds I am 172lb so if I aim to lose 10% so that would leave me at 11 stone, again still a virtual whale, but maybe a less wobbly one Hmm

Morning, tis me, Mouse.

I'm sorry but nighttime dry is massively different to daytime dry.

Completely different situation, mindset etc.... DCs will do it in their own time. They have to feel safe at night, warm, secure etc. Often 'getting out of bed' is a scary thing to do because they think that a) they'll be in trouble or b) they might wake mummy/daddy/sister/bro up.

So to them, it's 'easier' not to get up IYSWIM until they 'know' it's okay for them to get out of bed for a wee.

Others just don't wake up, even though the sensation to wee is there, they don't notice it as such, so you have to train them in the day, to understand that feeling means get up for a wee.

Each DC if different. Pressure is the last thing that they need to 'perform' and have dry nights.

They will do it when they are ready. Full stop. Smile

God I'm fiesty today. No sleep, Nemo is snotty so can't breathe. Olbas and steaming the room again.

I need to get my hair cut too! And DD needs a swimsuit. Panto tomorrow night and she'll get home at 10.45! Shock

On a school night!

Grin

How are we all? Well done on the loss SAF. Dust here again today.

Not hungry but craving coffee - I got some of that coffee Bitter! Bargain and it's LUSH.

Morning desire Smile

Nope, not that big at all. I was 13 stone when I had Nemo. Got back down to 9.8 at the end of last year. Just need to keep losing to get to where I want to be - 9.4/9.6.

Thanks for encouragement SAF and Mouse, was talking to my sister last night and both her and her husband are on low-GI diet, she gave me a couple of books and a cookbook to look at, and like you said yesterday Mouse it recommends eating 3 main meals and 3 snacks :)

Mouseface · 19/01/2011 10:23

desire - that's just to try and keep your blood sugar at an even level throught the day.

If you dip, you're more likely to over eat to compensate for the way you feel.

With 'little and often' you'll feel fuller for longer and your metabolism won't slow down as much. You'll keep burning the fuel for longer, making room IYSWIM for the snacks in between main meals.

If you try and eat lean protiens, like skinless chicken, eggs, low fat cheese, they will help you to feel fuller for longer too.

I'm sure you'll do great. Smile

Im in a foul mood. Just rang up court as exh was due to attend yesterday over the thousands he owes me. He didnt turn up! Shock They'd told me they would arrest him if he didnt but the magistrate decided to be 'lenient' and rearrange for early next month Angry So if he doesnt turn up again then they'll arrest him.
