question re. dd's poo..

ok sorry if TMI but..

dd keeps trying to 'fiddle' with her bottom.. I've asked if it's itching annd she say yes (this has been for a few days)

Yesterday I thought I saw some blood in her poo but thought maybe it was just something she'd eaten.

Today her poo was green.. from memory I keep thinking that if a babys poo is green it means there is blood in it (but I'm not sure IIRC or not). Does anyone know?

The diameter of her poo lately (sorry) is also astonishing. Wider than an adults I'm sure but seems to be made up of lots of little 'pebbles' stuck together.

she used to suffer terribly from persistant constipation but that stopped probably about a year ago.

Obviously I have no experience of childrens poo so I don't know whether I should be concerned or not. I was starting to think maybe a pile or worms but no sign of either...

I'd dose her with worm stuff in case I think. There are gruesome threads, har de har, we've escaped so far but apparently it's one dose with Ovex powder. The rest doesn't seem that awful to me. Make sure she's drinking enough if her poo is v hard.

MascaraOHara · 03/09/2005 20:37

So get worm stuff from a chemist? I thought you could see worms in poo? She's always putting her fingers in her mouth so wouldn't be suprised

thought you could see worms too... but maybe nto!

dose her with prunes in case she has a bit of a blockage

WideWebWitch · 03/09/2005 20:40

Mascara, iirc from past discussions here finding out whether there are worms involves a torch and night time bottom checking. (sorry!) search and you'll see what I mean!

yes

I saw them wriggling around in dd2 bottom

they move really fast

MascaraOHara · 03/09/2005 20:45

OH no WWW... that is a place I'm not going..

torch, dd's bottom, midnight - no thank you! I don't even kiss her goodnight when I go to bed.. I'm hardly about to start having a rummage around her bum before I clean me teeth.

I'll just buy some worming stuff, does that mean we all need a dose?

could she have hurt her bottom a bit with one of these big poos, and the itching could be a little cut?

MascaraOHara · 03/09/2005 20:49

Man Eating worms inhabting my dd's bottom, about to drag me in while she sleeps blissfully unaware... who needs the x-files

OP posts:
MascaraOHara · 03/09/2005 20:50

Possibly Wallace - I couldn't seem a cut. I thought maybe an internal pile(?)

Anyone know the green poo theory?

Or is that another symptom of man-eating bum worms?
