We have just done a system restore powered by pc angel. The files are now on D Drive.
Does anyone know how to safely fully restore them or do we need a PC doctor?

Do you mean the whole Operating System has been restored/re-installed to the D drive or just personal files?
Is the system still actually booting/working after this restoration procedure?
What make/model of PC is it?

If you`ve never changed the drives/partitions yourself in the past then the D drive, when not a CD/DVD drive, is often a recovery partition of some sort.

Without knowing more about the PC in question though and exactly what procedures youve followed its a bit hard to tell exactly what you`ve done.

Who, or what, is "PC Angel" (?)

Sorry - I could probably find it with a search, unless it's someone local to you, or there are several things with that name.

I believe the PCAngel in question is some type of recovery suite WebDude...aimed at "Micro-Buisness" users apparently, with only one computer.

From the http://pc-angel.com/services.html PCAngel site site....if it`s the same PCAngel of course.
"PC Angel is a subscription service, available to micro- businesses from just £17.99 per computer per month, including VAT."

Id think id be wanting my moneys worth right now or possibly even a refund.

I do recall someone on another forum somewhere using said PCAngel and somehow ending up with the OS re-installed on the machines original recovery partition, namely the D drive, although how that would work if restoring FROM the recovery partition i`m not quite sure.

Oh dear. 18 quid a MONTH ?

Seems better idea (sorry OP - in blunt terms, I think you've been conned) to put the money towards buying one of those external disk drives that does a "one touch" backup from the hard drive.

Back to the original problem - if you explore the D drive can you see individual files whose names you recognise, spreadsheets, documents, etc, etc, that you've saved?

Some applications (eg accounting package, or similar) may require data to be in specific folders on the C drive, but the bulk of other files would be usable without moving them at all, I expect.

PCangel may be some recovery software supplied with some Emachine / Gateway systems - and possibly other makes of computer as well.

This Vistax64 discussion mentions about pushing F11 as the machine starts, to get into the Recovery options.

This instruction manaul for a Gateway machine explains about the F11 thing.
If you machine is from Gateway or EMachines, then that may work.
