Went into his room, he's been holed up in there for hours with his mate today. Very whiffy! Had a quick sniff down his t-shirt and it's definitely him. Does this mean he's growing up then? He's 10 - is this normal?

Am loving that this is in Geeky stuff.
Very apt as I took my two boys to Games Workshop today, and the whiff of pits was overwhelming.

DS2 (10.5) needs to use deodorant now.
DS1 (12) not so much.

So completely normal.

LOL at pitsmell in games workshop! My ds is goes there too. Costs a bleedin' fortune!

I always have to open the window in the ICT suite when Year 6 come in.
Mostly they smell of sweat but a few are precocious & stink of Lynx (boys) or something pink from Boots (girls)

hmmm - don't know if I can bear lynx. Surely that's even worse than B.O?

I'm hoping this might actually encourage him to get in a bath once and again, although he sniffed his arm pit and thought it was a nice smell. Not a good sign.

Yep. My 9 year old has it too. It's funny because she's not very active and yet her brother, who's only 15 months younger than her, regularly comes in sweaty and muddy from football but never smells.

I feel for my dd as 9 is a bit early. I wonder if this means she'll have her periods early too.

I don't remember having B.O. till I was a teenager. Maybe I was a very late developer.

My 11 year old hasn't developed BO yet, thankfully

Actually I noticed smelly feet the other night.I have the joys of a smelly boy in store then. Will stock up on air freshener.

She uses bog standard cotton fresh solid sure... not found a natural alternative - largely as am too lazy to look, so grateful if any ideas...
she does 3 lots of dance classes, spidermama, hoping we can hold out another 5 years at least before periods... can't see it happening mind.
and the other one has brain damage, so precocious puberty still a possibility. eek.

DS1 is 8 and uses 'pit roc' whichis a natural deodrant. He gets really whiffy under the arms esp afetr PE.

Ladies they onl get worse, boys more than girls, cos on the whole boys dont care and girls do

Open Rugby Kit bags with a nose peg on, refuse point blank to let them take their shoes off in the house,

Have a seperate lidded bin for their socks

Insist that their trainers go on the window ledge on the outside of the window,
